Columbus State Community College Campus

I have enjoyed my education here but please find a better math program than Aleks. Aleks gives you a crazy amount of problems to complete per assignment and if you answer a question wrong, Aleks knocks down your progress rather than keeping it stagnant, thus making a one hour assignment into a two hour plus assignment. The explanations they provide aren’t always clear either. Columbus State Math Department, please find a program better than Aleks.

I had a lot of issues with guidance counselors but overall I am very satisfied with the education I received from the MA program. Years later and I’m still appreciative of all the Ms. Stout taught me. It was an extremely thorough program and I was very prepared to start my first MA job.

Health records office specifically needs more education on professionalism to the students. Not only is the office always closed but as a student I came back twice and my second time I seen the sign on the door still said closed and to come back at 12:15. I waited from 12:05 and seen an employee unlocking the door with food in her hands and heading back into the office at 12:13. Wanting to give the worker more time to put their lunch away and to open the door, I waiting until 12:15 to come inside (that’s what the time stated). I opened the door and the employee stated “you forgot to lock the door”. This off the bat was VERY rude to say and to hear as a student. The rest of the conversation did not get any better, I’m writing this review not about CSCC alone but the health records office employees who assisted me on this date.

I know Columbus State offers an excellent nursing program, but it’s unfortunate that my experience has been negatively impacted by Ms. Catherine Underwood’s lack of professionalism and sensitivity. She should consider stepping down to allow someone capable of performing the role in a welcoming manner.

I was on hold for 50 mins trying to speak with a financial aid advisor. The second she answered and asked what I needed help with, she hung up on me. Thanks for the great work CSCC.

Columbus state community college has no care for students. Students are just money to them. They don't care about students. They have the worst nursing program in Columbus, Ohio. All they do in the nursing program is encourage students to drop the course.The moment that the 2 week period pass and they get your money, any help you need from that nursing department, all you hear from them is drop the course, drop the course.

As a current student of Columbus State Community College, I love the location of the school, all I have to do is catch the bus and I’m there. Ofc some people will say this school isn’t the best, but it depends on their own experience with the school. Mines has been okay, I did have a hiccup within my first year of being in college, but that’s was because of my mistakes. With not getting homework in on time and not having the proper identification for this semester, but overall the school is amazing. Smaller classrooms can help a student like me who had disabilities to get work done.
