1 location serving families across multiple communities
Comprehensive ABA therapy services tailored to your needs
This review is for the parents of nonverbal children. This is not the facility to send your child to. There are facilities out there that will treat your family with respect but this is not it. They are poorly trained, constant turnover, and lack basic customer service skills.
I have been holding off on my review, but now going to give my honest assessment. Had high hopes going through onboarding with our son. Seemed energetic, organized, and that they would be very communicative during our son’s journey here. To note - we specifically did the 2 days a week group based sessions (not dedicated), so experiences may vary. The only expectations we really had (beyond ethical care) was communication. We were told we would have a regular cadence, discuss ongoing plans, etc - so we could regularly reinforce whats being worked on at home. Numerous times I requested this cadence link up or some kind of information. Ended up with some sticky notes at the end with no real notable after action stuff. Didn’t see much shift, so asked if he would even continue to benefit from this form of therapy and was told (by his current counselor) that he would be best suited in a standard therapy cadence, 1:1. What I didn’t realize was this triggers an off boarding from one program to another, so they decided to conduct an evaluation to show his progress (which I think they charged $600 for) that essentially said “we don’t have enough information to make a suggestion”. So I ended up with a $600 all at once from various sessions, no real progress, limited communication. Then he enters into therapy 1:1, which communication got slightly better, but still an issue. No real plan or action items to work on. Requested counselor to communicate with the school as well so they can pass information between him, IEP, etc. Said he has tried to reach out to various administrators, but not getting through. None of the staff at the school has received anything or any request. We saw regression in ABA group, haven’t seen much progress at therapy, and now short notice our son’s counselor is leaving as well. So now he has been off-boarded from the ABA group, has lost his counselor, and we are stuck trying to find something for our son. From billing to treatment we feel it has been lack luster. As parents, we are very involved. We communicate and take action on what is needed. I am concerned that because our som is “high functioning” (level 1), he was brushed off, bounced around, etc and we are having significant issues in school that we have tried to discuss many times. It’s simply disheartening having to hit the reset button and find another provider. I hope this helps others when considering CBC. EDIT: Jen from CBC reached out quickly after review and has put together an action plan. I have adjusted the review for now because of her commitment to our son. Thank you Jen.
We had our son in ABA with CBC since the days they opened their doors. The growth we have seen through mitigating behavior and helping him to use his device as his voice is unbelievable. This therapy has enabled our family to learn new strategies to work with him in the schools and at home
We just enrolled our daughter at the Niles location after trying preschool with therapy at first I was so nervous because our daughter had always been with us and she’s non verbal so just as a parent it’s something we worry about but I must say her dad drops her off everyday and this is only her second week and we have no problems with getting her up to get ready she doesn’t fight us to get out of the car and I’m noticing a change less behaviors at home the staff is very welcoming during the very first day they jumped right in as a parent I can tell they truly care and I see great things for my daughter while under the care of this facility
We used Community Behavior Consulting. We have had a great experience with them. Their staff is excellent and the management is great at answering all of our questions. They get back to us right away on everything we ask. The facilities that they have are outstanding. Everything is new and they have cameras. I would highly recommend using them to anyone I know.
