My experience is disappointing. I was very excited to start ABA services, unfortunately as time it became evident the care was immature. The RBT was brand new, and my child was her first patient and just recently out of high school. She lacked experience and professionalism that would come with more practice. And the new BCBA was very nice/nasty. Her presence would actually disrupt the progress that was being made in the treatment. I felt I was tiptoeing around their ego and feelings, and we are the paying consumers for this service. It was supposed to be about my child. It was a very toxic vibe. The RBT would smile in your face but complain constantly to BCBA. And the BCBA would punish you like a child. It felt very elementary. Even when I thought that things were improving, there was a constant undertone of condescension. I would recommend making sure the staff was very experienced in behavioral therapy (or any jobs) and respected the parent and input regarding the target behaviors and treatment. Establishing a collaborative communication would have been beneficial. Unfortunately, I was just felt relief when it ended.
This clinic wasn't just clean, nice, and organized, but the therapists there were understanding with my family adjusting to a new environment.
The clinic itself was very nice and the therapist I interacted with was very patient and nice with me and my family.
