Whoever is managing the communication should be formally addressed regarding their conduct. I requested that all communication be handled via email, as text messaging does not feel secure to me, and I specifically asked for clear written instructions outlining what information was required for the referral letter from my primary care provider. Despite this request, I did not receive clear guidance through email, and I was contacted again via text message. This lack of adherence to my communication preferences and the absence of clear instructions felt unprofessional and dismissive. As a patient, I expect to feel heard, respected, and communicated with in a clear and appropriate manner.
