Competent Communicators LLC - Pediatric Speech Therapy

We worked with Kaitlin for about three months, and she was absolutely wonderful with my son. We only stopped because we moved. Otherwise, we would have continued without hesitation. My son was always so happy to go into his sessions, and it didn’t take him long at all to warm up to her when we first started. Within those three months, I noticed a clear improvement and growing confidence in his speech. Kaitlin used engaging, age appropriate activities that he genuinely enjoyed, which made a huge difference. She was patient, kind, and truly great with him. Kaitlin is amazing at what she does, and I would highly recommend her to any parent looking for a speech therapist who really connects with their child.

We have been seeing Ms. Kaitlin for almost a year and we wish we had met her sooner! She is incredible! My son loves going to speech and has formed an amazing bond with her! We have seen so much improvement since we started working with her! I recommend her to anyone and everyone!

Our son had been with Kaitlin since before she opened this practice and she has been fantastic! She worked tirelessly to get him his AAC device through our difficult insurance. Always supportive and has offered great workshops on GLP for parents and caregivers. Due to schedule changes and distance, we had to switch providers and she even offered to coordinate with our son's new SLP so that he'd have an easy transition. Definitely recommend and wish her the best!

There are so many amazing things I could say about Kaitlin and Competent Communicators, but I will start with saying that anyone lucky enough to know her and have her support is beyond blessed. Kaitlin is an extremely dedicated neurodiversity affirming SLP that truly cares about her clients. I first met Kaitlin five years ago when my autistic son was newly diagnosed. In a world full of so many therapies and supports she was the only one to not want to “change” my wonderful child. Through her child-led techniques she has always been able to meet him where he was at and supported him on his journey while he learned to communicate. She was the first one to take the time to realize that my son was a GLP (gestalt language processor) and was there to support my family and I as we learned to support him and his language development through all of the stages. Fast forward to present day and we are still lucky enough to have Kaitlin supporting my younger child. We are in the process of getting an AAC device to help him communicate, and I have no doubt that with Kaitlin’s help he will thrive. If your child is in need of an SLP taking them to Competent Communicators is the best decision you can make!

We have been working with Kaitlin for 2+ years. She is an incredible SLP who is so dedicated to her job and her patients who quickly become family. She is so knowledgeable and is able to communicate and answer any questions I bring to her. My son adores her and cannot wait for each week when we get to go and “play”. Her approach to each session is learning through play and he loves that 1:1 time with her. We have seen so much progress and will continue to see her as long as my son needs. I cannot recommend her services enough and to any parent looking for services- know that you’ll be in good hands and that your child will be loved and supported by her.

I have had the pleasure of working with Kaitlin, who contracted with my school to conduct Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) evaluations for several of my students. From the outset, Kaitlin demonstrated exceptional expertise in AAC, play-based therapy, and gestalt language processing (GLP). She was outstanding with my students, displaying engagement, compassion, and kindness. Additionally, Kaitlin has enhanced my own professional growth as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) by deepening my understanding of neurodivergent-affirming practices, gestalt language processing, and best AAC practices. Her assessment procedures and evaluation reports were thorough, informative, and clearly written. Most notably, Kaitlin went above and beyond to advocate for my students, ensuring they received the AAC devices essential for effective communication.
