My son was recently evaluated for autism at this location. Overall, it was a good experience, not great, good. But we did have one outstanding experience while we were there (and probably the most important) with Dr. Mario Petersen. He is great at what he does. Dr. Mario took his time with us, allowed us to ask as many questions as needed, and was truly invested in his work with our son. It’s always hard taking any child to the doctor at a very young age, particularly one with special needs. I was very impressed with how easily he interacted with my son and was able to complete a thorough physical exam while keeping my child calm, and even happy! He listened to our input as parents and discussed his findings up to that point. He has great tact. We heard some hard things that day but his delivery, while not at all sugar coated, was excellent. I didn’t leave that office defeated and without hope. I don’t often leave reviews, and unfortunately we’ve had many experiences at Spectrum that leaves a lot to be desired, but I had to give Dr. Mario some recognition here. It’s almost impossible to find a physician with both extensive knowledge and excellent bedside manner (the latter some would argue being most important). He is definitely in the right line of work, he’s a great doctor. Very impressed.
