Comprehensive ABA therapy services tailored to your needs
Absolutely amazing! The staff is great at communicating, the speech path food therapist and occupational therapist we see are so great we have been with them for 8 years since my youngest was first diagnosed with autism. They have truly helped so much and his speech and other needs he has came so far! Would recommend them to anyone who needs their children to have these services.
These people are great and really help kids.
I would like to express my concern over the lack of professionalism of the staff at the Midwest city location in the speech department and the unreasonable attendance policy. I gave more than a weeks notice when we went on vacation and gave several days notice the other time when we spent a week with his grandparents over the summer. All of the absences were over the summer. I also had one day I had a migraine and could not drive. I can’t easily make up these sessions since I work in Choctaw and if I have to pick my child up from school it takes a 2 hour chunk out of my work day. I’m already doing it once a week for you and once a week for counseling. I am not happy with the communication from the speech path either. When she texted me going forward she would not see him on Wednesday anymore. So I reshuffled everything in my Monday schedule to accommodate for that. I said I could make Monday at 3 work in the text. She did not respond to that. When I questioned her about it she said that she chose not to respond because I hadn’t committed to a makeup time even though I was trying to figure out where in my schedule I could figure out to put it. We showed up Monday and found that she wasn’t even there.
Would leave no stars if I could. Called a week in advance to confirm daughters appointment. Then got an email few days before appointment saying they canceled appointment because I never confirmed. They gave excuses that an employee just quit so she probably never put it in the system but there was nothing they could do but put me on a waiting list and there was no lead, manager, or supervisor I could talk to. Horrible organization for a company that has availability months out. I did everything to ensure on my end appointment was confirmed…
Before you read this review, I want to preface it with this: Our journey began without a light, compass, or map to a way forward. This review is long, but I can remember feeling scared to make a decision, scared to do nothing, and wishing someone would tell me how to get started. I hope that all who read it will find it helpful and find relief in the decision to choose Cornerstone ABA services. Jamie and all of the wonderful therapist have servants hearts, patience, and knowledge that will help your whole family dynamic. At the beginning of this year, we didn't have any expectations and often felt that the way forward for us was minute to minute. We had more questions than answers and were desperate to make the right decision when it came to helping our little one get ready for school. It was overwhelming to navigate through our day-to-day at home. Communication was often tricky or misunderstood in our house, and we didn't have any sort of compass to find our way to a better understanding of one another. I was sifting through the internet abyss trying to find a place that could help us on our journey, and we came across many dead ends. Many places have extreme waiting lists or didn't accept the insurance we had but didn't offer any options or alternative paths. I was defeated, and things seemed pretty grim and dark. After some disappointing calls, I reluctantly called the Cornerstone Behavioral Health clinic. I spoke to the office staff, and they stated that they had a waiting list as well, but she didn't stop helping me there. She said, "I want to help you and would be happy to collect all the information you have now so that when a spot opens up, we will be ready." She had a warm and compassionate tone that beamed with genuine nature, and I was drawn to give her the information. I still didn't have an appointment, but I did feel that she at least wanted to help me even if she couldn't. A few weeks went by, and surprisingly I received a call stating that space had opened up and they asked if we were we still interested in ABA services. They followed up, I mean they actually followed up. I was so excited and grateful. I called everyone I knew to tell them the good news. We had finally found our light. The first meeting we had was in-home, and we discussed all of the goals we wanted for our little one and our family. This outline of goals was our map to a way forward. They spent time getting to know all about our little one and customized his plan in a way that he could hear the lessons we had been trying to teach him but struggled to teach him. You see, my little guy is "spider-man," and he knows all about spider-man, and I am pretty sure that everyone there knows more about spider-man than they ever thought they would. We went on to do clinic hours, and he got to spend time with other amazing children there. They worked on the goals together, and there was a purpose, structure, and never a moment wasted. Over time we could see the therapies working! I mean visibly see a happier environment for everyone. We were and are currently at the beginning of our balance as this is a life long journey, but more importantly, we are better equipped to handle the rough days. That's when we found our compass. We started to do in-home therapy. Jamie, Katie, and Lauren came to our home and really dug into how to help all of us — helping us to strike harmony in the busyness of our evenings — taking the time to give, insightful yet nonjudgemental feedback about how to best communicate with our little "spider-man." This again was an example of patience, empathy, and a passion for what they do. Now, we have a long way to go, but wow it feels incredible to have a way forward, to be able to lean on the light and to follow our compass to happier days. So thank you, thank you, thank you to all the amazing people at Cornerstone. You have helped us, believed in us and given us back our hope for the future.
The best pediatric therapy around. Seriously you couldn't find a better team around here. Every body is wonderful & works so well with my son. They're so accommodating & understanding when issues come up & you have to reschedule. My son loves everyone to include their wonderful receptionist. We'll definitely be sticking with them for however long my son need therapy. Thank you Cornerstone so much for being great!
