Cortica Warren

My son uses for Speech and OT, also his neurodevelopmental pediatrician is here. The therapists are great. HE IS MAKING SO MUCH PROGRESS. Wait list times are significantly less than else where. Accept insurance. Local to Somerset County NJ... so I don't have to drive all over the state. It's been convenient with school. Doctor Steve is great and super helpful. I can get in 2x per year instead of waiting 18 months and if you have to reschedule it can be done within 4 weeks. The only negative is high turn over of staff. It's disappointing to see great therapists come and go, especially when we have good momentum.

My child has been so fortunate to work with the neurologists and occupational therapists at the Cortica Center at Warren. I am watching my child blossom and develop more strategies for self-regulation, patience, confidence, and engagement, and the differences can be seen both at home and at school. From getting information about my insurance coverage, to intake interviews, to ongoing conversations with my child’s providers, Cortica has been excellent in communicating with me as a parent.

One of the best service provider for special kids. They have a wide variety of therapy services including Music therapy along with OT, PT and Speech services. They constantly hire RBTs to support more kids intake. Usually it is lesser waiting time to obtain the services compared to other places. One thing that needs to be considered is the connectivity to the schedule team (which is not at the location but all across USA). The person at the reception (Nicole) is very resourceful to reach out for any requests during office hours. The reception and facility is very warm and engaging for kids. The evaluation is detailed. They also have specialized doctors at rhe location. The BCBAs are very skilled at their job. Overall it is a pleasant experience for all.

Cortica has made our experience really seamless from start to finish. One of the major things we really appreciated, was that they have a whole team dedicated to handling the insurance authorizations for you when you are establishing as a new patient. That was a huge relief to not have to navigate that ourselves. The staff are all friendly, patient, and wonderful with the kids. My little guy gets excited to see his OT every week, and is often pulling me out the door to play with her. If you have need for services for your child, I highly recommend Cortica.

We’ve been with Cortica since they first opened and we’ve stayed because of the incredible people who work there. Dr. Steve is one of the most caring, compassionate, empathetic, and genuine doctors we’ve ever met. Our occupational therapists have been outstanding, truly making a difference in my child’s progress. And then there’s Nicole at the front desk, who has been the only constant for us since day one. She’s the first face you see when you walk in, always greeting us with kindness and a smile. She remembers everything, is incredibly helpful, and makes every visit feel personal. The only negative is that Cortica can’t seem to keep their good employees and therapists. The constant turnover clearly comes down to administration, and it’s heartbreaking because the kids are the ones who suffer—building relationships with amazing therapists, only to have them ripped away again and again. I truly hope things change on an administrative level so Cortica can keep the amazing employees and therapists who make this place so special. The kids deserve consistency, and the staff deserve a workplace that makes them want to stay.
