Comprehensive ABA therapy services tailored to your needs
It started off great, but my last session was not a good experience. I will not be returning because of it and I do not recommend going here for therapy.
I have been coming here for years, I have met a few lovely therapists and see them go (expanding their career's). My current therapist Mrs. L. Garrett, is and has been the best thing that's happened to me in the medical field in a very long time. Such compassion, humor, professionalism and respect for you as a person. I even adore the front desk ladies as they are gentle and take the time to help and listen to you. Thank you CFS, I would recommend you guys to everyone thats in need.
After my own experience here (unprofessionalism that I later learned bordered on unethical), I was shocked to see the influx of many recent 5 star reviews. Then I noticed a pattern that several of their own CURRENT employees left a 5 star review talking about how great the staff is. A bit tacky in my opinion. A business worth their salt doesn't need their own employees to fluff up their ratings on google.
If you are looking for an amazing therapist, Dawn is great. She’s helped our family so much with all the support for ADHD and autism and anxiety. She has made us feel so welcome and the office people are so helpful. Nikkie is always so happy and willing to help. Truly, the providers are awesome and take time to connect with you.
I've been going to CFS for the last year and I'm very happy with my experience. Starting therapy and talking with Lauren has been invaluable to me to help organize my thoughts and maintain a healthy mental space while going through a divorce. I'm grateful for the work they do and I'd recommend them to others.
I have been going here for years now. Lauren Mai has been amazing. She has helped me get through so much. I feel safe and heard here.
Within just 7 Telehealth session Mrs. Lauren Mai has literally changed my life on a very sensitive topic. I was first diagnosed with my mental health issues back in 2006. However it wasn't till this year that I started to have regular psychology sessions with Lauren. Even in hindsight I cannot believe how wonderful Lauren's psychological care is! Prescriptions can only go so far to help you with whatever mental health issues you may have. I never thought that was true until I reached out and sought help. Lauren is of course very professional, but what makes her so very special is her natural bubbly personality. I am a very serious person by nature and a very introverted Research Scientist with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. However, I find myself smiling and laughing during every session with Lauren because her bubbly nature is so welcoming. I promise that you will find that you can open up so much more and truly feel heard, and listened to because Lauren sincerely cares for your mental health. I would recommend Lauren to anyone! I look forward to the hour I get to spend with Lauren every week. Sessions with Lauren are very therapeutic, but it never feels like therapy. In other words - it just feels like you are talking to a friend that just so happens to have expertise in mental health care!
I personally think Covenant Family Solutions is a wonderful place to go. It’s such a welcoming and comfortable place to be. Lauren is a great person to talk to and always makes your feelings feel valid. I would 100% recommend Lauren to anyone.
I am personally shocked at some of the negative comments here! I recently transferred to UNI from another university, and my sibling who lives in the area recommended CFS to me. I haven't had a single negative experience with anyone working here! Receptionists are incredibly friendly and quickly come to recognize you when you come in. I see Nicole, and have felt respected and listened to- when I've had questions or wanted to change how we approached therapy, she was attentive, validated my concerns, and worked with me to find a solution. Dr. Foster is fantastic as well, I see him less frequently, but have also felt respected and understood during our meetings. I would and have recommended CFS to friends.
This has been one of the worst professional experiences I have had with any company/business. I have had two different providers within a year that have left (for reasons unknown to me) and each time they required me to start new with a different provider before refilling my prescription causing me to go some time without my medication when all I needed was medication management. In addition to that, the customer service from the main office has been horrible and very unprofessional. Save yourself the time and energy and go somewhere else. If you are considering covenant family solution because they accept Medicaid, consider university of Iowa psychiatry instead. They also accept Medicaid.
