After seeking help from four other doctors, all of whom offered unclear answers and little to no direction, working with Dr. Shannon Ryan was a completely different experience. From the moment we walked into her office, it was evident that she loves what she does. She greeted us with warmth, genuine enthusiasm, and confidence, and she took the time to connect with my son before even beginning any testing. Creating a space where he felt safe and comfortable was clearly her first priority, far above any schedule or time limit. As we sat in her (welcoming) office, we immediately felt at ease. Throughout the evaluation, it was clear that my son felt relaxed and supported, which is something we had not experienced elsewhere. Dr. Ryan explained every step of the process in a way that was clear, thoughtful, and accessible. Any time we needed clarification, she patiently ensured we fully understood before moving on. My son’s case was not straightforward, yet Dr. Ryan approached it with exceptional expertise, patience, and compassion. She was able to synthesize the information in a clear and actionable way, offering insights and guidance that were truly invaluable. Her feedback was delivered with both professionalism and genuine care. I cannot overstate how grateful we are for Dr. Ryan. Not only is she an expert in her field, but it is abundantly clear how deeply she cares about the children and families she works with. The information and support she provided have been genuinely life changing for our family, and we now feel empowered and hopeful as we move forward with the plan and strategies she outlined. We are so appreciative of her dedication, kindness, and expertise. Working with Dr. Ryan has been an exceptional experience from start to finish.

My son has been seeing Dr. Ryan for a few months now, and I cannot express how valuable she has been to him — and to our family. Since starting sessions with Dr. Ryan, we’ve seen incredible progress. He genuinely looks forward to meeting with her each week. Dr. Ryan has not only helped him build confidence and social skills, but she’s also guided our family in developing strategies to support his success. We are so grateful for her care, expertise, and compassion.

I had a wonderful experience working with Dr. Isabella Palumbo at Creekview! As an adult woman seeking an evaluation for autism, I was afraid that my concerns wouldn't be taken seriously. I've heard stories about how hard it is to get a diagnosis as an adult, and especially as a woman, because we often don't fit the stereotypical image of an autistic person. Fortunately, that wasn't my experience at ALL with Dr. Palumbo. From the very beginning, she made me feel like my concerns were valid and I never, ever felt like I was being dismissed or judged. She made it easy for me to be open and honest during my evaluation, and I left feeling like she had a very complete picture of what was going on in my head. I had expected the evaluation to be stressful and draining, but it really wasn't! It felt just like having a conversation. When I came back for the appointment to get my results, Dr. Palumbo happily answered all the questions I had and we spent the majority of the majority of the appointment discussing resources and next steps. I left that appointment feeling like receiving the diagnosis wasn't the end of the process but just the beginning (in a good way!), because she gave me all the information I needed to start seeking out treatment for the areas I've been struggling with. I really cannot recommend Creekview and Dr. Palumbo enough.

It took too much effort with late response times (having to ask them to schedule my intake appointment twice for instance, which they claim they sent a week prior through email but they definitely didn't). I went months waiting for my evaluation report due to an insurance conflict (they didn't even tell me about the conflict until in the middle of the last evaluation day), with very little communication as to where in the process they were. I had to beg them to tell me what was going on those entire 6 months. Not only that, but after they said they'd send my report, I had to check-in/remind them multiple times to figure out what was going on (in fact I didn't even know I'd gotten it until I checked-in, they claimed that they'd tell me). After I got my report, there were a few obvious errors/misunderstandings between me and them, which isn't a major deal in of itself, but the issue is that while they willingly said they'd correct them (before I asked them to), it's now been months since they said they'd correct these errors and send an updated report, and I still haven't even gotten an update as to why they haven't updated it yet. Just know that if you aren't prepared to forward the entire process yourself by constantly asking them what they're doing, then this isn't the place for you, because this center demonstrates terrible one star communication.

I can’t recommend Dr. Shannon Ryan highly enough, she is wonderful. Before we settled at Creekview, we had met with a couple of other psychologists and therapists who I’m sure are great, but the second we walked out of our first meeting with Dr. Shannon, my son said he really, really liked her- and so did I! It’s been several months now and he looks forward to his weekly appointment with Dr. Shannon, it’s probably one of the things he most looks forward to each week. Dr. Shannon provides a calm, safe, positive environment for kids to open up. She is very knowledgeable, but at the same time, she is able to speak at a level that connects with children. Our son, and in turn our whole family, has found Dr. Shannon’s advice to be extremely helpful in navigating the challenges of everyday life, but also some tough situations. I am so thankful we found Dr. Shannon!
