Son tested for ADHD and autism. Was told he doesn’t have autism because he held eye contact with her during meeting and was chatty. His occupational and speech therapists later stated they didn’t know how he didn’t have autism. 2.5 years later and I had him tested again. Results were he clearly had autism. I’m furious I had to wait 2.5 years to get him the extra help he needed. I would not recommend going here for suspected autism. If you’re looking to get a diagnosis for ADHD only then it’s fine. The report was thorough but that’s not useful if the diagnosis is incorrect.
Very knowledgeable when it comes to autism in adults. I'm glad I finally went in for a professional diagnosis, she was able to explain a lot of things to me and gave me information and resources for going forward.
Megan Farley is an expert at diagnosing children with ASD. She is not equipped to diagnose adult women with trauma histories. If you are a woman searching for answers, I recommend you look elsewhere. She does not seem to have a comprehensive understanding of the new science involving how ASD presents in women and prefers to stick to the textbook method of questionairres that were designed with only boys in mind. Additionally, she is incapable of discerning the context of trauma and is not an expert in the field of trauma, by any means. I felt that she misrepresented her skillet to me and the diagnostic process was more harmful than good.
