I am a 100% disabled veteran. I had an unfortunate event happen which has made it impossible for me to financially get a moving truck to move to the home I rented 3 hours from here. I had to pay 1st months rent and security deposit for February 1st and I can't even move. They said they couldn't help me because i was moving 'too far away'! Just sickening!
Reading all these reviews makes me incredibly sad for myself. Ive been through a LOT my entire life medically, i JUST got a potential MS diagnosis and was hospitalized and i cannot currently drive and i just get yelled at to know what my needs are when i need an advocate or someone to help ME in general not make me feel worse off. I thought they cared about people with disabilities and complex ones but i feel like they just would rather make people out to be a problem when we need extra help. Its not my fault i cant drive right now. I dont know my needs right now other than i need my medicaid back and accommodations because im in a back brace up to my neck and i keep passing out so im a bad person for not being able to drive when im sick and passing out. I have just about every need not being met and thats what ive been trying to explain. I cant get an "intake" so i can get help with the things i need because i just learned i cant drive myself. I just learned things that affect ME directly and are upsetting ME and they dont seem to care at all. It would be nice if they did what they said and stepped up and helped me figure out any part of my problems before i get even worse off. Its sad i just want help but now after the calls today i feel like i would rather not talk to anyone and keep suffering alone. I think its selective helping. Being completely alone feels better than having people mess up your dhhs account then tell you to just go into the office and theyll fix it when thats really an unlikely outcome
Amazing group
Disability Network has helped me with a tablet to talk to my doctor and they gave me info on MI waver program for now I have Medicaid and I didn't have it until they told me to call OLHSA in Pontiac Michigan and they told me about MI waver program for Easter Seals and I have Easter Seals for my depression so I gave them the information cause they didn't know about the Easter Seals MI waver program they have thank you so much for all you do God bless you
This has been both a refresher for the ASL I know and have been able to add many many signs and ways of conversing that I did not previously know. TY both and my fellow students very much!!!
ASL teachers are fantastic! Not only do they teach ASL, but they foster an amazing atmosphere where students feel loved, free to learn, to try, and to grow. It is the highlight of my day! I'm learning how to communicate in every day conversations, how to recognize and use facial expressions, and that it is okay to make mistakes. Thank you so much!!!
I called repeatedly. Got sent straight to voicemail. No one ever called me back. I needed help preparing for a redetermination of my SSI benefits and Nick spoke to me once. Months ago, questions about paperwork at that time. I simply needed some advice about this upcoming doctors appointment. I spoke to the receptionist, Amber, at least 20 times. She was nice and professional but KNEW she just kept sending me to a voicemail that would never get answered. Good luck to all who are in my position. Being reevaluated by SS when I’ve had an incurable, progressive neurological disorder since 2008 and it took me 3 tries and 10 years to start getting benefits and I’m mostly bed bound in 2025.
Well I've never been to your facility but however I do know that you'd probably you you have wheelchair accessibility and all that sort of thing and the reason why how I know that because I am totally blind and I'm a member of the American council for the blind ever since 2012 and I and when I was in high school I did a I was on the Americans of disabilities at and we did a and we did and what needed to be labeled like like rampages and and and and and and and and and and and and and Braille on elevators and everything else so but anyway I do know that a lot of train stations like Dearborn train station they not only do not have wheelchair accessibility but but if someone comes up to the train and helps you on they will not help you they will not help you off the train you have to be by yourself which is totally dangerous and all that sort of thing and I know that's against Ada law cuz I'm smart enough to know that that you shouldn't leave a blind person you know by themselves you know in front of a train or you shouldn't leave him alone in the train station and all that sort of thingso they can get on by themselves so in other words they will get the help that's totally ridiculous that needs to change
