We found Dog Therapy shortly after bringing our Vizsla puppy home, and we are so happy we did! Everyone who works here is both friendly and professional, and very flexible and supportive of each pup and their needs/personality. I would recommend to anyone! Also, they provide the cutest content throughout the day. Thank you DT!
My partner and I stopped going to this daycare with our puppy once we started working with a trainer and saw all the red flags. The puppies are not advocated for, it’s total chaos going inside and a free for all. A group of us (who now know better) have all had the same experience. Essentially, you’re setting your puppy up for failure and falling for their money grab gimmick. Staff is grossly under trained, example in picture below. My puppy was constantly in their videos getting bullied by 5+ dogs and would come home with scabs and staff would tell us it’s only puppy play nothing serious. Spraying water at full strength into a bulldogs face for a minute can cause dry drowning and die. It’s astonishing any “pet professional” thinks this is ok. The owner of this establishment 100% needs new staff that are knowledgeable. I’ll make sure to share the video they posted on their instagram along with my puppie constantly getting bullied into corners and nipped at in local dog groups to warn others.
I wish I could give dog therapy 10 stars! We had an amazing experience here. Our puppy, Poppy, started at Dog Therapy when she was about 10 weeks old. When she first started, she was a bit shy and nervous. We moved out of state so Poppy stopped attending when she was around 14 weeks. When she started her next puppy program in our new state, we were told she was a confident puppy with wonderful social skills! No doubt she learned so many of these social skills and gained this confidence through early and key experiences at Dog Therapy. Throughout her time at dog therapy, her nipping decreased significantly and she learned so many great dog social skills. She is thriving now and we are so thankful for Dog Therapy for starting her off on the right path!! As a new puppy parent, I can't recommend Dog Therapy enough- a wonderful, safe, positive environment for your pup to learn while you work! Our only detraction is that they aren't in North Carolina- where will send our next puppy?!
My puppy had a great experience. He was always happy to go (and quite tired out when he returned). He is now well-adjusted to playing with other dogs, and I attribute this in part to Dog Therapy Boston. He outgrew the service rather quickly, but we were thrilled with his time there.
The team at Dog Therapy are wonderful and provided excellent socialization and supervision. Definitely a great decision for any puppy. They were happy to answer any and all questions that I had throughout our time there. They were also extremely helpful and flexible as my puppy finally outgrew the program and was ready to transition to a daycare that caters to adult dogs (even providing me a long list of exceptional recommendations). Sad to leave, but so happy to have been able to use their service as long as we did.
