Shawna is kind, compassionate, patient, and a wonderful asset to our family. Her practice is warm and inviting, and her love for her clients is evident. We are so thankful for all of the work and improvements Shawna has made to our parenting and family dynamics.

I cannot express my gratitude enough to Shawna seeing my child within days as a first time patient. We didn't have to wait weeks during a time when weeks were not an option. My child and myself were immediately comfortable with Shawna. She is very approachable and compassionate. I appreciate how she talks to the parents and the child, while maintaining strict confidentiality. One of the most important things about a therapist/doctor is feeling 'safe'. Ms. Shawna and the Douglas County Child Therapy clinic is amazing. My three girls have been meeting with Ms. Shawna regularly for well over a year. Shawna Bernath has worked with my child for a year and has helped our family a great deal. She is excellent at establishing a connection with kids.
