Very helpful for my son to be able to socialize with other high functioning Autistic teenagers, and receive other helpful services. Everyone is very nice, also. I highly recommend.
Easterseals Midwest's attendance policy is straight out of 1940s Germany. If we miss or are late 4 times within a 30 day period then we are kicked out of therapy & put back on a waiting list. I have reiterated over & over that I have disabilities & sometimes can't keep appointments. They do not care. They continue to cause me an undo amount of stress about this. Our power was out for two days city wide & they still counted those days missed against us because THEY had power. They don't excuse any absences at all. They don't care if you've lost a loved one, if you deal with severe health issues, have a sick child, got in an accident, anything. They cancel on us whenever they want with as little as an hour's notice, yet we are at day 3 & I am dealing with chronic illness & still had to get my son to therapy while in quite a bit of pain. They state their policy is due to a need for consistency, but they have nothing to say about their own employees absences & how it affects that consistency. For working with disabled people they seem pretty ableist & hungry for a Medicaid payout.
