Can’t give a zero, as it isn’t an option. I would not leave a turtle in the hands of this group. Encompass has zero training for their staff. They put my daughters health in danger by letting her have unlimited food and most staff didn’t speak clear English and didn’t understand the basic needs of caring for an individual with special needs. My daughter was sent off with her shoes on the wrong feet, clothes didn’t match, didn’t help brush her hair even (went to work with snarls on her head), didn’t get her to shower or brush her teeth. She fell and broke her foot in there care and ended up in a wheelchair and let’s just say it got worse from there. These owners only care about making money. They don’t even know how bad it is and they don’t take the time to find out. They don’t want family involved AT ALL. It should be a team effort on deciding what is best for a person with special needs. They should not have a license to do business and care for vulnerable people.
The rural community needs are only met on an acceptable condition. They pick and choose who gets that care based on small town gossip and or miscommunication. It’s sad when a family needs help and asks for it and for no reason at all they decide that family doesn’t deserve their service. Wow!
Be careful of anything personal going on in your life while staff are present. Staff coordinator, Chelsea, showing extreme unprofessionalism during an ended relationship while caring for my ex’s child in our home while my 3 teenage kids and I are trying to transition to move out by getting in the middle of the breakup, gossiping to my ex while working with his son, doing this while my 3 kids are in the house and can see and hear her and my ex talk negatively, even well after a week after she acknowledged and apologized for getting in the middle and said she would remove herself from anything having to do with my ex and me (but hasn’t, just tried to be more secretive even though my kids still see and hear her continue with this unprofessional behavior). Chelsea has created even more unnecessary tension and drama that occurs when she’s gone. Absolutely do not recommend. I’ve emailed the company about this issue, along with screenshots of her acknowledging her actions and apologizing, but hasn’t stopped it, and have not received a response.
An extraordinary company led by extraordinary people that truly are passionate about what they are doing for the community.
