Enlightened Ways Therapy

I have O.C.D. and finding a therapist that can practice in Wisconsin that focuses on what you need is hard. When I found Kayla at Enlightened Ways therapy, I felt like I had found a diamond in the rough. She was not only personable but also knew what I needed and always made me feel heard. I highly recommend Kayla, Especially for any O.C.D. related symptoms, and If symptoms ever come back I will be returning to her as well!

I was hoping to like this practice. I had attempted to reach out via phone where you can only leave a message, but it was more complicated than a voicemail so I stopped in. There is NO office or front desk. I happened to run into a helpful young lady in the empty building who was very kind and told me to text or leave a message for Amberly, who owns the practice. I wanted to establish my son there and was also asked by my partner to help him find out who his sons counselor was because she was suppose to call him over a week prior and there was zero communication. I was off work this day and he was out of town for work, so I was relaying a message which I asked to remain confidential due to a high conflict situation. I was returned a call by a gentleman who seemed not so knowledgeable saying my partner had to reach out. I let my partner know, and then continued to provide information for my son to establish him as well. I was told I would be sent a link to start the process for my son, which I never was. In the meantime, my communication that was asked to be kept confidential was NOT, causing an explosion between the two households as warned. Two weeks later I followed up via text about the link I never got for my son and was resent the link and filled out the information immediately. It has been over a MONTH since I filled everything out and STILL RADIO SILENCE. So while it sounds by other reviews that Faith and others may be great counselors and I don’t want to discredit their skills, I would definitely have to agree with the other 1 star review about the business being run by kids. Unfortunately we didn’t get to have a great experience, or any really. Speaking with Amberly directly is impossible. To this day I have yet to hear from her. My son is established elsewhere now (because that’s what a professional does: listens, responds, and gets you established), and my partners situation with his son has only gotten worse. There is so much more to the story, but the bottom line is, if you value raising your kids correctly and having a relationship with them, then I’d suggest family counseling and probably do it somewhere else.

They don't answer their phone which makes it virtually impossible to speak with someone directly. The therapist I had been seeing became ill and the clinics that they referred me to don't accept my insurance. This is a group of young and relatively inexperienced therapists and I certainly wouldn't recommend them. Don't waste your time with this place.

I’ve seen Kiersten for quite some time now. She has helped guide me from active addiction, to early recovery, to sustainable recovery. She has seen different struggles over time and has never judged or given up on me throughout any of it. But most importantly, she has taught me how to not judge or give up on myself. Because of her help, I have created a life worth living and staying clean for. Her compassionate and insightful approaches have helped me accomplish many things. I have completed my first year of going back to school, I have excelled at my work place, and I have learned how to connect to and trust my true self. I am beyond grateful for everything she has not only done for me, but what she has taught me how to do for myself.

Faith is, hands down, the BEST thing that has come to our family. She has helped navigate the uncharted waters of teen depression, mood swings and court issues. She has the knowledge and experience to help with children facing SO many issues. She's amazing.

My therapist is so easy to talk to! I feel so much better after each time I see her.

Absolutely love it here! My son sees Faith and she is amazing! All the staff there is amazing! If you are looking for therapists that truly care for you and your mental health, this is the best place to be! My son is excited to come to therapy and he is making incredible strides in a positive direction!

We moved to the area approximately two years ago. Since then we’ve been seeing Faith to help our family with our teenage son with ASD and mood disorders. Like other families with children on the spectrum, the pandemic really set us back socially and behaviors regressed. Faith is awesome! Our son is making progress! It is a slow process due to his executive function abilities, but progress nonetheless! I don’t know what we would do without Faith! Thank you!
