Essential Speech and ABA Therapy

Perfect place to go to if your child needs therapy. They offer ABA therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy all in one facility. The staff there are absolutely amazing and they work together to meet my child’s individual needs. Any concerns that I’ve had has been handled quickly and professionally. They even set up meetings to teach parents what we should be doing at home. I can comfortably drop him off and I know he’ll be safe and well taken care of.

For over 3 years, Essential ABA has gone above and beyond in aiding my child with her education and progress. My daughter has connected with several techs who have made an impact on her development and made her feel seen and heard. Trey has done more for my family than his job calls for.

My child has been at Essential Speech & ABA Therapy since about 2 1/2 upon her diagnosis and when this location had just opened. She is almost 5 now and has flourished in so many ways that I am forever grateful and proud of. Her speech & communication have developed greatly. I have been thankful that she can receive all of her services from one facility versus having to go to multiple. Another great benefit has been the rapport she has with the staff. She adores all of techs and all the staff as they also adore her. Anytime I have had a concern It has been immediately addressed and followed up with great support. They have been willing to work with us in all capacities and I don’t think we would be able to find a clinic better where we are treated like Family. I appreciate all the hard work and efforts. This team puts into my child and to all the other children as well.

Essential Speech is the best thing that’s happened to our family. Speaking from experience, you won’t find a better facility for your child. I spent a year searching for an ABA therapy center for our son but none of them felt right until I called Essential. From the first phone call, I knew this was the right place. The staff was welcoming and clearly passionate about the work they’re doing for their kids. Our son immediately fell in love with the facility - which, is incredible in its own considering “new” is not something he generally gets excited about. Since the first day, this has become his home away from home where he’s grown far beyond what we thought might be possible. When he started, he was unable to play unsupervised with other children, unable to communicate outside of 2-3 words and generally unable to express his emotional frustrations in a safe way. Now, two years later - he’s speaking in full sentences, understands his emotions well enough to know when he needs to take a break and is integrating into a normal classroom setting. Without Essential, we would have been lost as parents. Not only did they take up the responsibility of providing therapy to our son but they were also the only lifeline we had when we felt we had nothing else. They’ve become like family to us (and our son) and are single handedly responsible for the progress he’s made. Bringing your child here is the best decision you’ll ever make. It was for me.

My experience with this ABA center has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The owner, Trey Hines, shows little regard for clients or their children. He presents himself as if he cares, but the moment concerns are brought up, staff will smile in your face and then turn around and talk about you instead of addressing the issues. There is no dignity, honesty, or professionalism in how concerns are handled. Communication is full of contradictions, excuses, and constant dishonesty. Rather than working with parents to support their children, this facility seems more focused on protecting staff and avoiding accountability. Trey appears more invested in keeping employees happy than ensuring the children receive proper care — but I’m not sure how a business can succeed when clients are treated this poorly. Maggie, a supervisor, is especially unprofessional. She often contradicts herself, avoids taking responsibility, and attempts to cover up situations when you ask questions. Instead of resolving problems, she makes them worse. As a parent, I should never feel dismissed, ignored, or disrespected when advocating for my child. Unfortunately, that has been my entire experience here. I would not recommend this ABA center to any family looking for consistency, transparency, or genuine care for their child. They also delete reviews after you write them to appear wholesome to the public eye. Signs that they are being spiteful behind the scene.

My son attended this facility for about 16 months and has recently graduated from it. I cannot even express how much this place means to me and all they did for him. They truly are amazing and dedicated to what they do. All his therapists were amazing from the office manager Brooke to the Speech/OT therapist to his individualized therapist, every single one of has made and impact and has contributed to the amazing child my son has become. I cannot speak for other experiences with this facility, but for me and my family, this was the best steppingstone to getting my son ready for what lies ahead.

Last week, I had the chance to visit Essential Speech and ABATherapy and was very impressed. The team is passionate, professional, and truly committed to making a real impact. The quality of care and the supportive environment they provide are outstanding.

My daughter attended the Friendswood location for 2 years and we had the best experience with them. I will forever be grateful for all the time, love, patience, work, and support that went into getting our daughter to where she is today. Every staff member is amazing, they truly care about the kids and they were there to help us parents out with whatever we needed throughout the entire process. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for ABA services!
