Miss Emily is the BEST! She worked with our son on both OT and food therapy. She kept excellent communication with us across all of his services and with every step of his journey and always managed to make it enjoyable for him. Emily is phenomenal. She spent multiple years with my two boys and spent time getting to know their unique approaches to learning, constantly adapting her approaches based on what they needed help with the most. She’s neuro-affirming and an amazing communicator to parents, letting them know on their level just where their kiddo stands. Thankful for her endlessly!

Emily is great at what she does, and passionate about it. We first sought her OT services after my 5yo “didn’t meet criteria” for help with early intervention or the public school, despite sensory seeking behaviors and aggression that made our day to day activities stressful for us, him, and his brother. She developed a highly individualized care plan, which was really impressive for me to see. This is way more than just a job for her. She not only taught our son regulatory strategies, but also taught us as parents what to look out for how to prevent things from getting worse in the early stages of meltdown. Our son liked going so much that we were all kind of sad to stop going to OT, but he demonstrated such improvement that we decided it was no longer necessary. Even then, Emily sent a certificate to him in the mail with a personal note and he was so proud. Most importantly, Emily was able to integrate these skills in a play based manner that was age-appropriate for him, which was so important to me because I did not want our son to feel different — even at five years old, he was starting to understand that there was a reason that he was going to these appointments. I have been excited to tell coworkers with similar struggles parents in our primary care office, and our child development coordinator about her strategies and about her for referrals for pediatric OT. I would strongly recommend this provider for your child.

Emily is knowledgeable, approachable with any questions you may have, and extremely good with the kids she works with! My son received services with her for nearly 3 years and Emily was right there for every success and every set back. Her treatment plans are well paced and collaborative to really help you feel involved in your child’s care. I recommend Emily to everyone I know!

Emily is truly the best OT my son has had the pleasure to work with. Emily takes the time to really get to know her clients and what a child finds engaging and motivating. This is evident in her intentional and creative planning of an OT session, and her suggestions of resources and activities that would benefit our son beyond the OT session demonstrate a level of care and expertise in her field that is unmatched. Something that sets Emily apart from other occupational therapists is her ability to address issues with functional vision. After working with Emily on a rigorous vision program, our son’s vision has noticeably improved, leading to progress in so many other areas that we previously hadn’t anticipated. Most importantly, our son is his most proud and content self after working with Emily!
