Functional Therapy

We have three children at FUNctional therapy and they have all benefited immensely. The staff is wonderful. They are great with our kids and do an excellent job of communicating their goals and progress. Could not recommend more highly.

This Center has been a life changer for me. My treatment plan hasn't always gone according to what we envisioned due to health or mental health issues that have come up and taken precedence, but my OT Katie has rolled with the punches and stayed with me every step of the way. I wouldn't change her for anything. She knows how to read my body language even when I'm not expressing my needs out loud and will jump in and ask me if I'm feeling like I need a sensory item. She's done wonders helping me with not just identifying my emotions but also being able to express them. There's just so much little and big things that Functional Therapy has helped me with that I can't express my gratitude enough. I still have a lot of work to go, but I love that they make it a team effort and look for the wins in every situation instead of focusing on what wasn't gained.

Our family has had an amazing experience with Functional Therapy. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome, listened carefully to our needs, and developed a plan tailored specifically for us. The therapists are incredibly knowledgeable and patient, and they go above and beyond to help their clients make real progress. Whether it’s speech, occupational, or physical therapy, they explain every step, celebrate wins big and small, and truly care about each individual’s success. We’ve seen noticeable improvements in a short amount of time, and the encouragement they provide keeps us motivated. The office is clean, organized, and easy to access, and scheduling has been flexible, which means a lot to busy parents. We’re so grateful for the dedication and compassion this team brings every single day. If you’re looking for professionals who treat you like family and deliver real results, I can’t recommend Functional Therapy enough!

I have been taking my son (now 4 years old) here for 6 months, and I have seen so much improvement in his impulse control and regulation. We previously had to pull him out of preschool for aggressive behaviors with peers, and now I can take him to a park and sit (!!!) on a bench while he plays most of the time. I would say there’s at least an 80% improvement compared to when we started. Madeline has taught me a lot about different sensory inputs & seeking activities, which of them my son needs and how to incorporate them. I’ve had a great experience so far.

We have had at least one of our children at FUNctional therapy for 9 years now. We have worked with a number of different therapists and have loved each of them in different ways. Anna the owner was our first OT. She is unbelievable. I have loved to see her create this clinic, see it move, and watch it grow. The therapists are flexible and caring while pushing your children to be their greatest, explore new things, and challenge their comfort zones. They celebrate the little victories with them and encourage them when they struggle. I love that they check in with the parents before and after sessions. As a mom and a pediatric nurse practitioner I would and do refer anyone who would benefit from pediatric OT to FUNctional Therapy. Hands down the best experience we’ve ever had.

I can’t recommend FUNctional Therapy enough! We have been coming here for almost three years and they have been instrumental in the success of both of our boys. We have one child who has graduated from services and another who is still being serviced. The level of care that both our children and our family has received is exceptional, you can tell that they are invested in the success of all children and tailor their sessions to truly meet the needs of each child. Both therapists that we’ve worked with, Morgan and Healy, have gone above and beyond with communication and working with us on strategies to use at both home and school with our boys. They have always been ready with a listening ear to help navigate any challenges that have come our way. When we needed more support at school for one of our children, Morgan came to our son’s school meetings to help strategize ways for him to be successful. They are such an integral part of the success we’ve seen in our boys the past few years and we are beyond grateful. They truly feel like a part of our family now.
