Comprehensive ABA therapy services tailored to your needs
Before you invest hours completing paperwork, scheduling assessments, and waiting for a therapist to become available, I strongly recommend considering other options. Our family has received services from Galvin Therapy over the past three years, and while we’ve worked with some truly wonderful therapists, the overall experience has been frustrating and inconsistent. We’ve had to say goodbye to many therapists over time, faced frequent cancellations, and encountered ongoing issues with insurance and scheduling. For parents of children with ASD, consistency and reliability are essential. Unfortunately, Galvin has not been able to provide that. Therapists are allowed to cancel sessions even minutes before an appointment, yet clients are required to provide 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged—with no flexibility for emergencies or extenuating circumstances. If your child thrives on structure and routine, this may not be the right fit. Our experience has been one of disappointment and unpredictability, and I hope future families are spared the same challenges. Cleveland Clinic Therapy Services are located close to both Galvin Therapy locations. The difference in staffing is significant. The Clinic has far higher employee retention and a much larger team overall. Because of that, scheduling there is dramatically easier, far more flexible, and much more dependable. I have made several attempts to discuss these concerns with a member of Galvin’s executive team, my inquiries have remained restricted to the billing and scheduling departments. Despite having my current contact information on file, a public response to my google review remains the only communication I’ve received from Galvin Therapy Center regarding my concerns. Over a span of nearly 3 years, no one from the leadership team has initiated direct contact to address these ongoing issues.
When my son is able to get a appointment the therapist have been great with him. However, im very frustrated with the limited availability of therapist. Now I found out they are getting rid of the flex schedule. Just extremely frustrating when you are trying to get your son in for speech and OT therapy. My son has not had speech therapy since his reevaluation in September. The only therapist on Friday I guess can't take my insurance. Now the flex schedule is going to be gone as well. Fridays is only day available for my son for therapy and they can't help me. I was hoping the provider would help my son. But I guess not, Ill be looking somewhere else.
Therapists have been great however the billing department was difficult to work with and the late cancellation policy is unacceptable to my family.
Galvin Therapy is truly the best therapy center around Westlake — thanks to the amazing people who work there! We miss Julie so much. She was such a special person who always gave incredible support to parents of children with special needs. Julie had this gentle way of listening, understanding, and lifting our spirits — almost like a personal psychiatrist for us. It feels so empty and quiet without her. She truly made a difference in our lives💛 and we wish she would come back.
In my opinion, Galvin Therapy Center is not for children with autism who are working through any type of behavior issue. They made a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) for my son and sadly did not honor the plan. Parents beware! They also cancelled scheduling regularly due to staffing issues (I wonder why) in the last month my son went there, and their billing department hounded me daily, with little to no flexibility in payment terms with my higher deductible.
Ms. Emily is so patient and great with my daughter. She loves coming to her appointments.
Ms. Jamie has helped so much with our four year old and helping him to identify and talk through his feelings! She always asks lots of great questions about his progress at home and works with us to figure out the best way to create consistency for him. He loves getting to come here to play and learn, and she even goes the extra mile to make it as interesting as possible for him by incorporating things he's interested in, like insects and climbing and Spiderman.
Gillian, OT, was absolutely phenomenal with our son for almost a year. He made huge growth and I know that one of the main reasons was because of his work with Gillian! She is patient, kind, and really knew how to help him progress. So grateful for her!!! Thank you Gillian!
My 5 year old daughter entered this place with final consonant deletion and having the sentence structure of the incredible Hulk. She had her final session before having to conclude services today due to school starting and just WOW! I have nothing but praise for this place. It's fun, it's engaging, she looked forward to EVERY appointment! They're great about scheduling and working with every child's individual needs! She only attended for a few months and for the first handful of sessions she was bounced around between whatever therapist was available at the time on their flex scheduling, but even doing it that way they kept everything very coherent, They followed each other's notes and picked up where the last one left off and when they were finally able to get her a therapist who had the availability to see her regularly it was over! She took to her immediately and the progress was noticeable after each and every session! They let me sit in and I got to watch every little development that she made. Now even strangers are able to understand 95% of what she says compared to everyone looking at me for translation with everything she said a few short months ago! A big shout out to her regular therapist Madison! Along with all of the staff who helped her along the way. No longer am I raising Faker He-Man from Masters of the Universe because HOLY CRAP SHE CAN BE UNDERSTOOD NOW!
Galvin is the best! My son has been going here for various therapies for 6 years. He currently goes for ABA and occupational therapy. Miss Karen is his OT and she couldn’t be more amazing. She does a great job working with him. His ABA therapists are all wonderful. Jake, Abby, Thomas, Kaila, Melana, Sally, Dalebria, Emma, Kaila, Alexis, Madeline. They are all great!
