Disorganized. An organization that was once great is now falling apart. Would not recommend.

HORRIBLE Upper Management and MAJOR Scheduling Issues!!!! YOUR CHILD IS NOT THE PRIORITY AT GBC - PEORIA LOCATION!!!!!!! My son went to GBC for a few years; some of the time during Covid, which making services in-home had helped him tremendously (no longer offer in-home). There are not many options in the Peoria area without having a very long wait-list (there's a reason GBC has no wait-list) and being new to ABA therapy, at the time, I did not know what to expect. Finding the right BT (behavioral technician) is key!! But, be mindful of the bad ones!!! I started to see BIG RED FLAGS and would question them (it's why they have cameras in their clinic). You know your child and you know when something isn't right; trust your instincts! When I'd question those red flags, upper management had stepped in making it EXTREMELY difficult for me and for my son to receive his ABA therapy!!! I have all the emails to prove this and other families I got to know, had THE SAME EXACT experiences, too!! It should NOT be that way for a company providing services that are supposed to be supporting and helping our special needs children!!!! I transferred my son to Easterseals on Armstrong for his ABA therapy a little over a year ago, which was the best decision I ever made!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Comparing the two, Easterseals is a very reputable company who provides superior services to GBC!! At Easterseals, there are plenty of BTs to cover so your child is always receiving the services they need! Easterseals also keeps regularly scheduled parent meetings to keep those lines of communication open and they're always adjusting their program to meet your child's needs. Easterseals has also participated in our IEP meetings so that his teachers and other therapists are all on the same page. Seeing the immense amount of differences in the two companies and all that Easterseals has done for my son, I would NEVER recommend going to GBC - Peoria! Easterseals is worth the wait 100%!!!

We had the worst experience here. My child went here initially to go to their "school" that never opened. We had multiple "techs" over our time, when autistic children need routine. One of our "techs" would call in every single Friday, we would be sitting in the car waiting for them to either cancel or let us in. Yet, they charge you if you're late. Our last straw was when the BCBA told us our kid wasn't progressing and basically kicked us out, just to come back and all of a sudden take it back. I'm guessing because of money. Don't waste yours or your child's time here. They are glorified babysitters, kids better off at school or at a daycare with typical children to learn.

My child is just getting started at GBC and we are beyond thrilled with the staff and services provided at the GP location. The staff is VERY friendly and takes the time to connect with each child to meet their needs. Although the location is new, the team has been working together for many years. As someone who once worked at an ABA center, I can confidently recommend GBC!

My son has been going there for over 2 years now and it's been such a great experience! Everyone there has the best attitudes and even though we had a turn over a few times within the years of BTs and supervisors I felt like it was a easy transition. For my son and I. Overall I had previous experiences with other ABA companies and GBC is by far the most accommodating straight forward program my son has participated in. I specifically appreciate our supervisor for all the clarification when questions I did not understand were explained thoroughly. It is already a challenge navigating a child on the spectrum let alone learning the program and terminology.

My nephews had attended the ABA program and absolutely loved it. He couldn’t stop talking about the BTs and how much fun he had with everyone. They are very understanding with financials and will work with insurances to make it the best experience possible. We will continue to attend and I absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking for ABA treatment for their child. Clean and friendly environment.
