While everyone on the front end I dealt with, especially the receptionist Carolyn, were extremely nice and helpful, the provider I saw (Ann Akpaka) was one of the rudest providers I have ever dealt with (and I don’t just mean psychiatry). She did not listen to anything I had to say and basically said that there’s nothing she was going to help me with while constantly interrupting me. Like I said everyone else I dealt with was so nice and bubbly but the provider was the complete opposite. And this is coming from someone who works in healthcare

While I'd love to give this place a glowing review of their evaluation services, they refuse to return our calls or emails. If they can't figure out how to handle a phone, I have significant doubts that they'd be able to handle an autism evaluation. I just went and read other reviews. Looks like we dodged a bullet. Thanks for not returning our calls!

I'm writing this review with the hope that some changes will be implemented in their clinic, due to the ordeal that we went through today. If you scan through the reviews and read the business responses, you can see that there is little accountability on their part and the word "harassment" is used liberally anytime someone voice their frustration. There is a world of difference between being vocal about a frustration and harassing people. As a matter of fact, they should know better about this distinction, because they are a mental health clinic. To make this short: after receiving a voicemail from the clinic to schedule my final appointment / discuss my results, I was told I had to wait 2 months from now to even know my diagnosis, even though HIPAA regulations warrants the right for patients to access their own records at any time: they are just too busy to communicate the results to me until then. This would frustrate / upset pretty much anyone waiting around for weeks to know if they are indeed neurodivergent ("just" a life changing detail), which I shared over 2 short phone calls with the scheduling staff while asking to be called back by “someone I can actually hold responsible for this”. The call back from the clinic director: - zero intentions of letting me speak or hearing me out from the get go / assumed I was in the wrong before even letting me talk - proceeded with an accusatory monologue blaming me for the emotional response of her staff and dismissing my own - accused me of "harassment" (we're talking about 2 short phone calls here) - threatened to throw away my evaluation if I didn't comply to her expectations of the conversation - told me I had " 2 minutes to talk" when I pointed out she didn't give me any opportunity to explain the issue (turned out to be 30 seconds) - she hung up on me The irony here is that it's a mental health clinic and I was literally shaking after she hung up the phone on me. Someone else eventually called me back later. She explained this person was having a bad day and is dealing with chronic pain: in that case, this person should not be in charge of calling back escalated phone calls, period. This whole situation could have been avoided at multiple stages of the process, and it seems to be a recurrent issue with this specific clinic according to the reviews. At no point did I receive an apology from this business. If you need a neuropsych evaluation, I heard great things about Lindsay E Lennertz (PsyD).

I provide Business to Business Service to many customers across New Mexico. I always know when I am dealing with a friendly organization by seeing all the smiling faces. Gd Psych has a great team! Congratulations to you Dr G.

Highly recommend this place for your love one. Although it did take a long time to be seen and scheduling, which was understandable. I got a cancelation call and my son was finally seen. People thing were extremely nice and very understanding to our needs. The special list are very knowledgeable and give you all information you could need and contact information if I had any questions. I write the sephora not a five star due to the way but is amazing place with awesome people.

GD Psych got my 3 children scheduled for therapy within 1 day of my calling, evaluated the whole family for ADHD within 3 months of scheduling, and now have me on meds that work. The whole process was easy. They called me, worked with me to do the paperwork, and called and made appointments at several other places for us to get occupational therapy, tutoring, and a school who has been amazing with my kids' needs.

I scheduled my daughter’s evaluation here because her therapist had good things to say about them. I was initially told they were hiring some new staff and waitlists could decrease I thought wow that would be great. Appointments were scheduled for June then got pushed back to July and August. Now getting a call today that it will be pushed back again until November and December. Apparently due to staff downsizing schedules. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has experienced this or experienced their child suffering without the diagnosis and proper support. To have this diagnosis could improve our lives so much. And we’ve been looking forward to it coming up next month and barely holding on. My child getting sent home for her behaviors and being misunderstood and nobody understanding how to help her without this diagnosis and now finding out through a very snippy receptionist that my child will have to struggle another 6 months now was very upsetting.
