Asked me to arrive 15mins early and they do not have the doors unlocked. This is redundant to request clients to be early but they are not prepared.
I used to really like Genesis Psychology Associates before they turned in to Mercy One. Their staff have always been great but their new system has many errors and is confusing when trying to confirm appointment. I feel like it’s more a psychiatric express lane now.
Staff decided to cancel an appointment I had been waiting 6 months for a month before the appointment date, and for some reason decided not to tell me.
They don't seem to care how many times I call and verify my appointment they're happy to give me the information I need
I would NOT recommend this place. I had Dr. Gandra, and he was not good. He did not listen to me and just kept adding on unnecessary medications. I felt like every issue I had was just brushed under the rug. I didn’t feel listened to at all. It got so bad to the point where I was completely misdiagnosed and was taking the wrong meds for almost three years. I since then have found a new psychiatrist who listens to me and has helped me figure out the root of the issues. Don’t waste your time with this place.
The only thing that makes this place not a full 5 star....has nothing to do with the staff. The ladies at the front counter - while busy and frazzled, as long as you're not a Karen and are smiling and kind, they work with you (being entitled or a jerk gets no where!). And the rest of the staff I've met are so kind and caring. The problem lies in the government. Kimmy Reynolds and her rat pack of bigots are making it harder for psychology places to get the funding they need. Insurance providers are also cutting back what psychological services they will offer. And it makes places like this understaffed and over booked. This place genuinely wants to help....Insurance and the government is just telling them "no". Psychology assistance in the US sucks.
Physiatrist is fine but the front desk is horrible. Even if you are on time and have to wait 15 minutes in line they'll take the appointment that's after you first! I was early like instructed and had to wait in line for the receptionist. The 1:15 appointment just happened to be in front of me. So instead of taking me back first since we were both seated by the time the nurse came out they took the other patient. This is unacceptable! It is not my fault your front desk took that long to check people in and my spot was given upby them. Many people do appointment on their breaks from work because that's the only time they have! So now because your front desk people want to run behind, I'm late getting back to work! Take your appointment in the correct order! I always have to wait 10+ minutes in the waiting room, when I am early like instructed I still wait in two separate waiting rooms for long periods of time do better for your patients.
