I’m giving one star for highly unprofessional communication. I made an appointment at the end of last year. They called in December 2025 to say that my daughter’s medical insurance was inactive. I rescheduled an intake appointment in January. I renewed my daughter’s health application for CareSource, but due to some complications, the process took awhile. I called Georgia Autism center again, well before my January appointment, to let them know there was a delay in coverage. They rescheduled me for February. There was plenty of time for them to contact me, and they had my email as well as my phone. I arrived this morning foe the scheduled appointment after taking my kid out of school and driving an hour in traffic. They told me they had canceled the appointment because they are “in the process of stopping coverage with CareSource.” They said they left me “a voicemail.” A single voicemail? I have a new phone and receive dozens of spam calls per day. Nevertheless, I check my messages frequently. I never received this alleged, single voicemail. Why didn’t they send me an email or simply keep calling until I received the message? Moreover, why didn’t they tell me back in January that my child’s insurance would soon be invalid? They said that if the appointment was scheduled for real, I “would have received reminder texts.” Well, some people, like me, put appointments in their phone calendar and don’t need reminder texts! The office staff apologized and sent me a list of other autism services I could use, which accept CareSource. But that is poor compensation for the hours I spent filling out those forms, or the money I lost from missing work and driving the distance. I suppose in the end, it’s better to go somewhere else, anyway.
I should have read the reviews. Please save your time and your patience, and find somewhere better to take your loved ones. My son's first appointment was canceled 2 hrs before it was to start (after keeping him out of school), because the "doctor called out". Then was told his next appointment was one time over the phone, and a different time via email. So another canceled appointment. Another missed day of school. The lack of professionalism is astonishing.
Georgia Autism Center is an excellent place to take your child for psychological evaluations. From the moment you walk in, you can feel that this is a team that truly cares about children and families, not just diagnoses. The psychologists are thorough, patient, and highly knowledgeable. They take the time to explain the evaluation process in a way parents can understand and ensure that each child is seen as an individual, not a checklist. I never felt rushed, dismissed, or confused about next steps. If you are looking for a professional, trustworthy, and compassionate center for psychological evaluations, Georgia Autism Center provides both expertise and peace of mind. I highly recommend them to any parent seeking clarity, answers, and support for their child.
I had my daughter evaluated by two different providers who told me she was not autistic, despite her clearly showing many signs. I knew in my heart that something was being missed, and I refused to stop advocating for her. It was the patience, expertise, and genuine care of Dr. April Coleman, that finally brought clarity. Dr. Coleman took the time to truly understand my daughter, to look beyond the surface, and to help me recognize what was different and special about her. She listened, she explained, and she validated what I had been seeing as a mother all along. If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate group of psychologists, Georgia Autism Center is the place. Dr. Jaymie Fox, the founder and owner, is exceptional at what she does and has built an incredible team of dedicated professionals who are committed to helping families navigate the world of autism with knowledge, respect, and care. I am truly grateful for this team and highly recommend Georgia Autism Center to any family seeking answers, understanding, and support.
We had an evaluation on Oct 29th ot is now December 27th and no communication. It almost feels like a scam.
If you never want to receive your child’s report this is the place to go.Ive never had an issue with them until now.No communication no response from provider. You leave constant messages with front desk and that’s is as far as you’ll get.
We’ve had the pleasure of working with the team at Georgia Autism Center for several years, and it’s always a fantastic experience. Their diagnostic insight is top-notch, and the referrals we receive are consistently thorough and well-prepared. What really sets them apart is the welcoming, upbeat environment they’ve created—every interaction feels positive and collaborative. It’s clear they care deeply about both their patients and their professional partners. We’re grateful for the ongoing relationship and look forward to many more years of working together! We love working with Dr April and Dr Brittany. Highly recommend! -The Team at Level Ahead ABA
If I could give this office zero stars I would!! If you know what’s best PLEASE DO NOT waste your time here!!!
I would leave no stars if it were possible. My child completed an assessment on April 3, 2025 and it is now July 28, 2025 and I have not received the results. The usual turnaround time is supposed to be 6 to 8 weeks. The last communication I had with them was on July 1. I need the results for the new school year which starts on Aug 1 and for him to receive ABA therapy. Please do not use this place as a resource for your child. The lack of communication and unprofessionalism is astounding!
The lack of communication is so disheartening. I have been emailing for weeks now to get the status of my child’s evaluation and none of my emails have been acknowledged. My son has been out of therapy for months now & is not able to return until the evaluation is completed. After this I will not be returning for any future evaluations that may be needed. Do yourself a favor and go with another facility.
