Absolutely TERRIBLE communication! RBT was a no call, no show for 3 days. They provided little to no communication. I had to reach out the first 2 days to get an answer. They did not even know the RBT did not show up until I called/messaged. Then they were unable to get into contact with the RBT. I took off 3 afternoons at work to be there when the RBT was to be providing services for my child. All for them to not show up. Then he showed up the next week unannounced. Acting as if it was an inconvenience when I told him I had not heard from anyone, so I did not take off work again. I reached out to the company, Golden Care Therapy, for them to not respond via phone or email. At this point, I am not sure how to proceed. They have completely failed my child and me. A complete lack of respect and communication are not the way to conduct business. I was hopeful for this to be the path for my child but instead my autistic child is left feeling like he isn't wanted because his therapist did not show up. He stated, "I guess my therapist doesn't want to meet me." After asking me numerous times if his therapist was going to show up. USE EXTREME CAUTION!!!!
Sept Edit; my son stopped therapy June 10 after getting the crazy bill. Today Sept 23rd, got another bill for $900. I Do not recommend use of this therapy place based on my horrible experience. They promised my insurance will cover and we have 2 different providers. If the insurance wasn’t going to cover then I would have opted to go with another company. Yet I have to pay over a $1000 out of pocket. July: My son has done ABA for several years so we aren’t exactly new to this process. I was thrilled when I found this company. I specifically asked if both my insurance would cover the cost and they assured me it will. I have a email to prove that. Several months later I get a bill for over $500 saying I didn’t provide my insurance card to the right personnel. Though someone in the company had checked to ensure insurance covered everything including assessment. I called to talk to someone and zero help or responsibility was taken. My only option is to pay the $500 plus.
