Golden steps is an excellent therapy center. My son is loving it!

My son has been going to this facility for over a year and there’s been nothing but PROGRESSION in his life. This is not a daycare. They will teach your nonverbal child how to speak, use the toilet and tell you they love you. We have been through so many daycares and so many babysitters who couldn’t help my almost 6 year old son, until we found this place. Just like in life, sometimes families have last minute emergencies and that’s that, people are human! Kids have accidents! I can count on one hand (2 times) my son has accidentally hurt himself OR couldn’t go to school for other reasons out of everyone’s control. It’s hard letting go and letting other people help your kids when you’re an autism parent, but if you decide to pick anyone I highly suggest Golden where they will be genuinely supported and loved. Soonercare has us all jumping through hoops so if you’re able to get there here or have had THE PRIVILEGE of bringing your child here you’ll see first hand. As an adult, it is my job to get my child to school on time- be involved and understand what they’re doing in his life to help him. This place has done wonders for our son! The staff is wonderful and really care about him. They go above and beyond to try and make him comfortable. They communicate with family and really try to work with your schedule. We have been going there for the almost 2 years and could not be happier with them! We’ve gone to the Tulsa and BA locations and have had wonderful experiences at both establishments.

The lack of communication from this company is insane. Some days I’d literally be almost there for them to text me saying there’s no therapist for her and that her therapy service was cancelled. Absolutely terrible at communicating. Then my daughter’s hours were constantly changing it seemed. Then the other day I get a text message from Courtney saying that she has to go FIVE days a week for 5 hours a day when we commute over an hour 1 way. That would be almost 400 miles on my car daily for 3 hours just to turn around and drive another hour to pick her up. It wasn’t feasible. After over 6 months with the company they decide instead of saying “This is what works best for our clients” they are turning everything into what works best for the company and literally getting rid of kids left and right from it. If you want consistency and great communication do not look here. Courtney is the absolute worst at communicating with you.
