Golden Steps ABA | Autism Therapy in Yukon, Oklahoma

The Brandon and Bridget are amazing and go above and beyond for the kids. The teachers also. My kids love going to Aba and want to go Saturday and Sunday too.

We have been attending for about 4 months now. I’ve had nothing but a great experience. My nonverbal child has zero hesitation or resistance to return the following days. Communication is great. Every day is a challenge but they’ve been understanding and flexible to our families needs that are ever changing. The BCBA provides you with tools to help your child at home and takes the time to learn our speech device to help us use it. when my child RBT left only after a few weeks I was very nervous about how my child would react to the change as we all grew attached to her. We pushed through it and I can say every RBT that my child has had has been so very caring and loving. They’ve really put in work to have great RBTs there. My child goes to all of them with open arms. They remain open during school breaks and are only closed on major holidays. The Director there is to the point and clear while being respectful and kind. There was a two week period after our first RBT left that we were unable to attend on some days due to not having enough RBTs. The issue was quickly resolved though, and we’ve never experienced any other issue. I’d rather them take time to find quality RBTs instead of filling the position quickly with just anyone. That is what they did, so while a bit inconvenienced we were appreciative of the time they took to find someone of quality and heart.

I really wanted Golden Steps to work for us because our BCBA was truly amazing—knowledgeable, supportive, and great with our son. Unfortunately, we struggled with consistent issues with the RBT’s. My son had therapy at school from the start, but the RBTs and teachers did not work well together, and my son ended up stuck in the middle. We dealt with frequent call-ins, last-minute cancellations, and general unreliability from the RBTs. We went through three different RBTs, hoping things would improve, but the same issues kept happening. The only reason we kept trying was because we loved our BCBA and hoped for a better outcome. The final straw for us was when an RBT left mid session with my son and didn’t return. After a full semester where he could have been making progress, we decided to seek services elsewhere. I know every family’s experience is different, and I hope others have better luck. But for us the inconsistency was just too much.

Just horrible, have my son get attached to someone over 5 days aba, we waited months for service. Only have no calls, no communication at all!

We love taking my daughter to Golden Steps, very nice place and safe for your kids, highly recommend for anyone who needs ABA therapy.

My daughter loves coming to “school”everyday. Learning new skills and playing. Amazing staff they have been flexible and understanding. We love golden steps!!
