We cannot say enough good things about Great Adventures Therapy. They were absolutely wonderful with both of our boys. They did an amazing job with Holden and his speech therapy — incredibly patient, encouraging, and truly met him where he was. They were also able to get him scheduled quickly, which meant so much to our family. Hank’s feeding therapy experience was truly life-changing. The therapists successfully assisted with his G-tube weaning, and he is now a full oral eater. Their knowledge, compassion, and support throughout that process were outstanding. The therapists truly feel like family — they care deeply about the kids and the parents, and it shows in everything they do. We highly recommend Great Adventures Therapy to any families in the Knox area. We are so grateful for everything they’ve done for our children.
My son loves to go for speech therapy. He likes his therapist, Ms. Chase and he will wake up from a deep sleep by mentioning ,we going to Ms. Chase for speech therapy. I've seen progress so far and am hopeful. 🙏
Our experience with Great Adventures Therapy was amazing. We started at 3months old for difficulties swallowing and Chariti was wonderful with him. He loved all of our appointments and she quickly became one of his favorite people to visit. We recently completed our sessions and we both miss her sweet weekly presence in our routine. Grateful to be back on track with eating and swallowing. Thank you Chariti!
I called Chariti at a desperate time when we were facing breastfeeding challenges with our 2 weeks old daughter. Called several speech therapists previously and either never heard back or they were booked out for several months. I left a message to Chariti and did not anticipate a callback anytime soon at that point. To my surprise, she not only called me in a few hours, patiently inquired and listened to our journey thus far, and offered comfort and helpful information right there and then. She also made herself available for an appointment in the following week as she understood the urgency for newborns to establish a healthy feeding routine early on. From that point, we worked with her for about 2 months. With her help and the oral ties removal, our baby girl can now feed successfully. I am truly thankful for Chariti's intelligence, ability, and compassion. Couldn't recommend her more for anyone who may need her service.
I am so grateful we found Chariti! She is wonderful! She helped our sweet little girl with her articulation so much! I would highly recommend Great Adventures to anyone looking for a professional and trustworthy speech therapist!
When I faced breastfeeding issues, we leaned on Chariti's expertise and within a few sessions we saw huge strides. She was very personable, friendly and gentle with our daughter which we appreciated. If you are in need of an infant speech pathologist, I would highly recommend Chariti!!
Chariti is amazing! She is incredibly knowledgeable and personable at the same time. She makes you feel so at ease and does a great job explaining her process. She made me feel extremely comfortable while watching me breastfeed to help with my son’s latch and was so understanding of my anxiety and gave me such great advice when he started choking during bottle feedings. HIGHLY recommend 😊
In reference to Chariti Skinner/ Great Adventures Therapy: Chariti was the first person we met on our therapy journey with our new NICU baby. Our son, Izaiah, came into our custody as a five-day old, nine weeks premature, drug exposed baby. We knew from the start that therapy in all fields should be expected. Chariti was amazing from the start. She helped us as we navigated through trying to bottle feed our boy. We had several obstacles that we faced with feeding. Several doctors as well as our pediatrician overlooked that he was lip and tongue tied. This made it almost impossible for him to latch onto a bottle. Chariti noticed at the first visit. She was the first to recommend that we also see a GI specialist outside of the Oral surgeon and I am so glad that we pursued that. We are so grateful for her support and guidance along the first part of our journey. She was very patient and tentative to our concerns. She was great to work with and we were sad to part ways. Chariti is no longer his feeding/speech therapist, but we are lucky to have someone who trained under her at the same clinic. Although she is not on our therapy team, I know that I could reach out to her if need be. We would gladly recommend her services. The Ottingers
