Got my daughter evaluated, that aspect went well. Was told I’d get a zoom link morning of feedback session. I had to personally reach out 3 times to get the link and I finally received it around 1pm for a 3pm zoom. Was told at the end of that meeting I’d have a rough draft of the full report by Friday (this was on Wednesday December 17th). It is now January 8th. I emailed Dr. Boys on December 31st inquiring about the report and have yet to hear a single thing back.
As a school professional, this clinic has been extremely helpful and resourceful with my students that have been assessed. The assessment process we have experienced has been outstanding. Thank you! Highly recommend.
Dr. Boys and Mr. Cavanugh were both excellent to work with. We had a fantastic experience with our son there and would highly recommend others.
Please read or re-read the review from Jess Vinar as this is almost verbatim what happened to us and my child was severely damaged by their misdiagnosis. We have since received a proper diagnosis but the damage done and time lost should be criminal(read damage done as damage in my kid's trust in her own feelings, loss of trust in her parents that tried to help based on the wrong diagnosis that took almost a year to build back, and her loss of trust in Doctors)(this does not even speak to the money wasted and as Jess Vinar mentioned getting re-evaluated is just not financially possible for many people). Please research and find a good evaluator, don't be duped here by getting in earlier than with a proper evaluator. This review is based on a March 2024 evaluation.
We are a former and returning family to GLNB center. We decided to return due to the fact that Dr. Boys taking over the clinic. (we say him at the U of M 9 yrs prior with our son) In full transparency, we were not pleased with our daughter's exam back in 2019. We were especially not pleased with the physician we worked with at that time. Going back this time was a completely different experience. From front end staff to clinicians and assistants we were very pleased that we decided to return. They were very accommodating to special requests, additional questions/statements after parent interview and appreciative to positive feedback on said accommodations. Currently their wait time to be seen is 3 months out. If you know, you know that's short! I can't recommend them enough!
I can’t say more positive things about Great Lakes Neurobehavioral Center and all the staff we have encountered here while my child has been in their care. Thank you for everything we are so lucky to have found you all!
Our daughter was evaluated by Dr Duffy. We found her to be very professional, kind and knowledgeable. The evaluation went smoothly and we were able to follow up with Dr Duffy virtually the following week. Our full evaluation report arrived via email 3 weeks later as promised. The report was very detailed and included excellent information regarding supports, interventions and action items that we can do in-home for our daughter. We appreciate the time and attention that Dr Duffy provided and would recommend her services.
