I applied at the guidance center and was judged before I could even get a interview. I work at a dispensary and because of that the hiring manager judge me right off the back. People see you have the qualifications but quick to judge and make slick comments about people without knowing them. Then have the nerves to call and say I never filled out an application for the care coordinator position which if you apply on indeed it keeps a record of the jobs you apply for. She was quick to call me because I called her out. She didn't know I heard what she said about me. You don't want to hire someone because they work at a dispensary. Ma'am that is called discrimination, you cannot discriminate against anyone for their race, sex, religion, etc. God don't like ugly and I see why y'all need people because the way y'all treat people. Veronica Espinoza is her name I wouldn't want to work somewhere they judge you before they get to see your work ethics.

I've been calling for months to get in with another therapist. All I keep getting told is they have to put me on the waiting list. How many times do I need to ask them to put me on that list over the course of months to get in with a therapist.

I brought my daughter in when she asked for help. They saw her that day and set her up with a social worker of sorts. This person promised to be there for her and help her learn how to cope. She saw her three times, randomly, and never took the time to actually get to know her to help her. The counselor they got her with, six weeks after her first visit, for a 30 minute zoom call. She asked her over and over how she felt and if she felt like hurting herself. There was no actual therapy. The last time she had an appointment, they called my 14 year old on her phone at school, something she was uncomfortable with. So I called to get her appointment info and they told me I was not allowed to know anything because she's old enough to make her own decisions. 14!? Now we are a year later and she is worse than before and no one seems to care because she hasn't actually hurt herself yet. Horrible.

Excellent center for not only mental illness but addiction. Got me stabilized instead of pills with ups and downs.

Hello just wanted to say that the guidance center is a good place to get help especially in the department of CareLink services because of the peer support system they have which they didn’t have back then ,now that they have it I have had a really great experience with Jessica Navarro she has helped me out in so many ways in my life with my mental health issues that I have she is really great at what she does. She was there when my brother recently passed away she helped me get through it she was there at the funeral for support I really appreciate having her as my peer support. She is an amazing person that I can talk to when I’m feeling down . I have seen a lot of changes in myself since I’ve been meeting with her and I really don’t know what I would do without her. She is really a great an amazing Human being. 😀

When I first came to the guidance center I was lost and reeling. I was basically homeless, with no direction of where to go or what to do. I was assigned a peer support worker, Jessica Navarro. She hasn't just been my peer support, she's been a friend, counselor. I recently received the keys to my own home, and am about to start a new job. My children and I have a home and a bright future. I don't know where I'd be without the help and support I've received from God, Jessica, and the guidance center center as a whole.

It's a great place to talk to a professional in emocional conflict. It has a 24 hour bot line attended out of state but they will stay with you until you get help. Now if you need fisical or one on one attention there is on call personal available for Lea County (Lovington and Hobbs). It's a great place!
