Wonderful with children .She really cares about them and there well begin. She is amazing.
Absolutely do not recommend. My ped recommended Tammy. Very unprofessional and feels that her methods are a one size fits all. Then when you do not continue these said methods because they are not working, she gets testy and says "Then why are we still here?" For several years we have been trying to get my daughter diagnosed with Autism. Tammy kept telling me "NO I THINK SHE HAS ODD." She absolutely does NOT listen to parents concerns and makes her own assumptions. I yanked my daughter ever so quickly out of her practice and put her else where. She is now right where she belongs and is getting the PROPER help and attention that she needs and her new therapist actually LISTEN to our concerns. Even my daughter was not a fan of Tammy and how she spoke to her after so long of her seeing her. She talked to my daughter like she did not listen to rules and was unruly. I am not a gentle parent by any means but the way she spoke to my child was very demeaning and like she was dumb. My daughter has since been diagnosed with General Neurodevelopmental Disorder and we are waiting to retest her in 2 yrs since she shows traits of Autism at home but masks at school. But NO thanks to Tammy and her lack there of help.
My daughter spent a week in the child unit in the second floor. I was not impressed with this facility. The room my daughter for put in had dirty band aids in the room the shower had hair all over it, the floors were just gross. Then coming for a vist they were allowing the kids to touch and hug each other, switch clothing with each other. This should not be allowed . The nurses didn't care what they did as long as they were not bothered it seemed like. My daughter thought it was a summer camp. Do to the u it being so laid back. In my opinion it should not be treated as a summer camp. She brought phone numbers home also from other kids. They need to keep a better eye on the kids. I would not ever recommend to send a child to this place. They took her off meds and didn't replace them. They took her off with trying to work her off the med(which is a med that can cause bad reactions if stopped all at once) but they did not seem to care . The one security guard was very nice and helpful. But that was the best part of this whole hospital
Michelle Wetzel was very dismissive of my concerns, she also suggested multiple times that I should “give up” on my daughter. She also doesn’t understand the concept of manipulation and coercion or the effects it has one someone who has experienced it. Don’t ever go here if you actually want help.
Well if you don’t know anything about fairmont don’t come to this location using a GPS because the directions are wrong and when you try to use the pic to better find the place you don’t get a pic of the office you get a street pic I came here on a Friday after the hours they answer the phone of coarse because my daughter really really needed to talk to her counselor whom we love but of coarse we couldn’t get to the place
Their staff are friendly. I have seen positive growth with my daughter since we have been going here.
I use to think this person was trustworthy until I found out later that she talked to her best friend about me behind my back. I am in full belief that no child can be the cause of abuse no matter what the reason. This provider thinks differently.
