Comprehensive ABA therapy services tailored to your needs
DO NOT GO HERE!! Never in my life have I gotten a cease and desist letter from a company for saying my honest experience and opinions. Any company that pulls predatory actions when they claim to be a place of healing is NOT SAFE. If you can't share your honest opinion of a therapy business, how are you supposed to go there and feel safe sharing your deepest insecurities? Here's the original post that they felt they needed to take legal action for. "Like many others I found them online. The therapists profile said she had availabilities. After emailing, Amy (not the therapist I reached out to) said she handled scheduling and that all of their therapists were on a waitlist. I guess that was supposed to scare me away because when I asked how long it was, no one ever responded. Yeah, they really do pick and choose who they want to help. I think it's because they didn't like my insurance."
Thoughtfully concieved space, neurodiversity affirming agency
It can be difficult to find reliable reviews for mental health care, as many people are hesitant to disclose that they are receiving it. Realizing this, I wanted to share my experience. I sought therapy in 2020 when the world seemed to be falling apart, and Amy has been an invaluable support. She acts as a calming voice of reason when I’m struggling with catastrophic thinking and helps me validate my concerns and navigate daily life. I love the convenience of telehealth sessions; in the past, going into an office felt like a barrier due to my anxiety. Ultimately, Amy is a compassionate and skilled therapist, and I trust she has assembled a fantastic team.
If you’re neurodivergent and/or queer, definitely consider this center for therapy. They’ll match you with a therapist who is available, and they’re incredibly warm and helpful. I came for IFS work and have gotten that and more. When I called for the appointment initially I was very unwell and even the person who answers the phone was incredibly kind and validating. I cannot say enough good things.
I normally don't leave bad reviews but this place is a joke. I scheduled an appointment online with Amy only to receive an email, the next day, saying she didn't have any availability even though the online schedule showed that she did. I then tried to schedule with another therapist and received an appointment confirmation with a link to their online portal and a request that I fill out some forms before my appointment. I checked their portal several times and it never showed any forms or even that I had an appointment scheduled. I also texted Katrina, trying to get help making sure my insurance would cover my appointment, and never got a response. So now it's my appointment time, right now, and I'm writing this review instead of talking to a therapist because that appointment never existed. At this point I could be convinced that Heartstone never existed. I've never seen or heard of anything like this.
Heartstone Guidance was a lifesaver… not only did the therapist help navigate my personal problems, but also took the initiative to assist in obtaining services with my insurance provider. Amy was always warm and inviting, even during a pandemic. I have several children, work, and go to school, but Amy always allotted a time that best fit my schedule. Additionally, she was honest, professional, and engaged even though my session would sometimes be in the late evenings and weekends. Amy’s integrity and power to help develop strategies without judgement speaks volumes to her adherence to her principles as a therapist and clients. I have seen several therapist in the past, who do not follow up, assist with financial difficulties, and/or make sure that I was feeling heard. Amy has and continues to be available even when my schedule is problematic. Heartstone is an agency that truly cares for their clients and their well being. Any one who is looking for a flexible and honest therapist should look into her services. I would not think of going to another agency now that I have found a place that makes you feel as if no matter what life’s obstacles are she will help you overcome those in an environment that is safe and secure.
