1 location serving families across multiple communities
Comprehensive ABA therapy services tailored to your needs
Worst customer service.
My child went to Helena for years and I can say that the staff care about the children they serve. They are very professional and easy to work with. They really go the extra mile!
Helena is a wonderful place for staff and families alike! The staff truly care about the well-being of their learners and helping their families feel successful and supported in the home. A nurturing and warm environment for all.
would have gave no stars but could only do 1. horrible service horrible place you can call and only get a voice-mail no one ever calls you back. the therapist there is ok but not even real therapist but only students(guess to pay them less). I needed them to sign a paper for my son and took over a month to get back and only with constant badgering them about it. please find a more reputable place for your loved ones with autism. this place is a whole joke and a half!
Very unfortunate how they say they're for all mental health needs but like their tittle says, they specialize in autism all spectrums. Didn't take the the time to educate themselves on different culture background, let alone want to understand body language communication access. The assessment itself was and is a HUGE joke, the psychiatrist literally sat in the corner the whole time wouldn't even look at my kid and has the right to diganose with whatever he feels comfortable with at the time being. Rachel the head director of this facility was in total force of his beliefs of slight autism because of communication was transitioned into body language and no one has the capability of educating themselves there about anything. Yet they dare say some of their staff have experience through sign language, please some one shut them down for false advertising! Not to mention who cleans the toys after some kids have just put them in their mouths. Or who minds when their kids are now handed a single piece of their fruit snack as like some kind of puppy in training. I don't know about you guys but I was taught to not share germs and if I got a treat I was in control of how I ingested it into my well being. Let's not forget the fact of once-over your child achives success they're so quick to separate instructor and child and flip the whole structure of their success into a mindful debate of what is it you really want from the child? I give this place a half a star due to it's lack of education in 2018 for diversity awareness as well as broadening their communication skills. Oh and let's not forget the terrible I mean TERRIBLE excuse for a psychologist assessor never in my life have I seen lack of interest, interaction, and inability to making eye contact. This is one step I regretfully wish I could take back for the sake of my child and her outlook of what adults want from her. Instead now it's ok to throw toys share spit tune out from adults direction. Oh oh don't let me forget to mention every staff in that facility has a great poker face for when the adults come around. Children can always sense wrongful and unhappy doings from just about anybody. Don't let the huge smiles fool you guys do your research and stay positive for yourself and your children! Definitely getting a second opinion on the diganose they assigned. Mind you your child has to qualify as any type of Austic to even attend to this program. Not to mention it's the Only one in Minnesota. Seriously I cannot get through to those who just accepted the first thing they hear and place their kids in a placement like this. If I could follow my intuition my child never would have stepped a single toe anywhere near here.
It's a great place for kids with learning problems. All teachers are all educated, they know how to help if your child has speech delay, sensory problems or socialization issues! My son made a huge progress for 2,5 years he attends Helena.
