Helping Hands ABA has been absolutely wonderful to work with! The BCBAs and RBTs are professional, compassionate, and truly dedicated to providing high-quality support for children and families!
Surprised to see the comments below mine ( Most likely had the wrong company in mind). I went through training with Helping Hands ABA and was very impressed with their thoroughness and passion. I'd be shocked if they didn't provided exceptional services. Would recommend if your looking for ABA services.
Stay away from this company, a horrible experience I had. It is called Helping Hands, it's more like not helping and lazy hands, I have been looking for an ABA specialist for a handful of months, I came across them on Google, read the reviews and obviously the reviews are totally bogus, fabricated by their employees or AI. Needless to say we went through at least four different specialists within a handful of months and it did not work out, each specialist, or supposedly a specialist did lack experience or was just in it for the money because of their enthusiasm towards work. Each one were either fresh out of high school as it seemed or a freshman in college and that was not speculation, that was actually disclosure from the ABA specialist themselves. I must say I was very disappointed with the services, and I guess after confronting the company and suggesting that they should hire ABA specialists with vast experience, and not just hire them because of cheap labor, they stopped services with me, I'm not surprised as I saw right through their facade. I can honestly say it was a waste of time and if you're looking for ABA services, do yourself a favor and stay away because their hands are not helping at all. Update: To the owner of this company in response to your insinuation, I will absolutely NOT delete this post, as everything I said is TRUE, I did not mistaken your company for another, and this is not spam. I had a terrible experience with your company and it is what it is. Also, do not try and discredit me or any other parents who speak the truth about your company.
Strictly for monetary gain, you are told you can modify the schedule, and then chastised for it. My family was discharged without validation and given 9 days notice!
Helping Hands employ some of the best RBT therapists that I’ve seen. Kim and Rachel were such a pleasure to work with, and Kelsey and Sarah were exceptional! They were true partners on our family’s journey through ABA. They worked with 2 of my boys (ages 4 and 6), guided by knowledgeable and wise BCBA Grace (Grecia) who is nothing short of a child whisperer. Everyone at the agency was very responsible, reliable, open to feedback and my concerns. I never had a therapist miss a session. When they took time off they gave me advance notice. When I mentioned a specific concern, they would incorporate it into the plan. I cried on the day our insurance plan changed and we became out of network with them! Helping Hands ABA are above and beyond in every sense compared to the current ABA company that we use that is in-network with our insurance. I would recommend them without any hesitation to any family looking for quality ABA services for their children. Chana and team, thank you so much!
I had an overall very positive experience with Helping Hands for ABA services for my son. It's run very professionally and the director Chana and RBTs we had in particular were great and very responsive and caring. I always felt like they were on my side and were happy to take the time to keep me updated and satisfied, which is so important when things are stressful enough dealing with behavior problems at school. They were also willing to work with me to find a (unicorn of a) bilingual English/Chinese RBT who could come out in person to Queens during the pandemic. I did have one minor issue with a BCBA who did not show up to school without prior notice for an FBA, but I do think that was an anomaly compared to my overall great experience. And this is coming from someone who has had multiple experiences at this point with early intervention plus a couple different private insurance-based agencies! I recommend Helping Hands wholeheartedly!
