My family’s experience with Holistic Ability was amazing! I would recommend to any family in need of Occupational Therapy.
My almost 6 year old son has been seeing Alyssa for almost 3 years. She has truly help my son and our family. Communication has been great and her understanding of our ever changing schedule is truly appreciated. We also started seeing Tracy almost 2 years ago. My son looks forward to his visits with them weekly. Thank for being so caring and compassionate.
I reached out to Allissa and her team about three of my kiddos. They are 6, 3 and 3. They work closely with Ms. Issy. My kids are obsessed with her! She brings fun to all their sessions while helping dad and me understand what’s going on. All emails and phone calls are answered pleasantly and in a timely manner. It’s only been a few weeks but I couldn’t have stumbled across a better team of people to help and love my kids. Keep up the great work, ladies!
Congrats to Allissa for putting together a remarkable helpful & hopeful business!
Allissa is incredible! She has a rare combination of experience, skill, natural intuition and genuine warmth that makes her an amazing OT! She is knowledgeable, ethical, and committed to evidence based practice. The seacoast is so lucky to have this growing practice here!
My twin daughters were clients for about 2 years with Holistic Abilities. In the beginning Allissa was great! She was very knowledgeable, easy going, and friendly — which worked well with my family. My daughters are ASD level 3 nonverbal, so they require the highest level of support. Even with their needs it was difficult to get 2 sessions a week, and it never happened. A 2nd therapist from Holistic Abilities, who took over when Allissa went on maternity leave, even recommended it. When the 2nd therapist (Emily) went on maternity leave our last therapist (Julie) also recommended a 2nd session within the week that never came to fruition. When Julie left in August to return to the school she worked with my children never received a replacement therapist, and sessions stopped completely. I reached out several times and was always told that they were “top priority” and that they’d reach out to me again in whatever duration of time, but I was always the one to have to keep reaching out. I was asked if I would be open to doing in home and clinic based, which I said I was open to since I was told it would help to resume services quicker, but it didn’t get services back for my children. Ultimately, Allissa never reached back out to me to give me a definitive date of when my daughters could resume services. I even tried to get sessions in tandem at the speech therapy location that Holistic Abilities uses and there was still no clear response. When you have children that depend on these services going months without support is detrimental to their development. The only reason why I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the therapist themselves are excellent. But the client care, communication, and follow through was severely lacking in my family’s case.
My son has seen Ms Alissa for over a year now and I am so thankful we found her. She exceeds my expectations! She always listens to my concerns and I couldn’t have found a better ot for him. Not to mention he absolutely adores her and loves his sessions!
