Hope for a Better Tomorrow

I was wrong. I wrote a review solely based on emotions. I have been reflecting and reliving past trauma for a reason I had no answer for. But as I walked through the halls every day, I was blind. Blind to the fact I was right where I needed to be. See, as you actually head to the offices of Better Hope for Tomorrow, there are beautiful pictures of the wildlife and forest of what I assume is the area. They look familiar. I was blind to the fact that these therapists and others who work there love wildlife and nature. Here I am, just starting school, trying to figure out my life's purpose. Silly me, it's to protect what these lovely people love so much. Thats nature. Their art and photography have helped me unknowingly find my place in this world. Thank you, Danielle and the staff of Hope for a Better Tomorrow.

I knew our son needed to see a therapist to try and help with his behavioral issues stemming from his Autism/ODD. We were scheduled with Katherine Kunz, and in the last 2 years, our son has dramatically improved!!!!! Katherine is an amazing therapist, and we even have our other child see her as well! ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC therapist!!!! Highly Highly Highly recommend Katherine!!!!

We have interacted with several of the therapists at HFABT over the last 10 years. To put it plainly, our experience has been lifesaving. They are sincere, caring, honest, and an absolute blessing to our family. Shannon, for whatever reason has been called out in other reviews, and she has never been anything but kind and professional. I worry that a couple of 1 star reviews will unfairly skew the rating and prevent people from seeking the help they need from an valuable resource in our local community. Not every therapist is right for everyone, but with a number to choose from you'll find someone that can help here.

As things progressed following the dissolution of my marriage I have reflected on the time that my former wife spent going here. No real attempt to resolve our conflict was presented. My ex wife had a hysterectomy and could no longer tolerate regular intercourse and while alternatives were discussed there was no real encouragement from the counselor as to make it so that we both could be happy. My comments on just acknowledging my existence with the unsolicited hug or pat on my butt when going to bed were viewed as inconsequential and her statements of how my telling her how beautiful she was on an almost daily basis was viewed by her as insincere and there was no follow up about her beliefs. I went in hoping to find a resolution that would allow us to be able to return to a sense of normalcy but left with her resenting me more. Don’t ever go here thinking that you will be able to find what was lost

First time around was good. Receptionist was friendly and my therapist was friendly as well. But second time around, i had accidentally written down the wrong appointment time. My appointment was at 10am but i came in at 11am. I felt so bad and I apologized profusely but the receptionist was so rude. It was a simple mistake on my part but she acted like it was such a disappointment. She told me “Your therapist waited and waited and waited but you never came” meanwhile they never tried to call me to ask where I was. First time around, the receptionist was friendly and talkative. But second time around, she would not even make eye contact me and spoke to me in a belittling tone. You would think that for a mental health therapy office they would be kinder to you when you make one simple mistake. I canceled my following appointments and decided I’ll just go somewhere that I’m not made to feel uncomfortable.
