I do hope things have changed since this is under a different name now and moved. But I am still in disbelief 5.5yrs later and often think about the treatment from my first (& last) therapist (I won't specify whom in case you have changed). Already feeling uncomfortable and vulnerable, it is gut wrenching to have the person you are (paying) to talk to and help you through issues be checking their smart watch multiple times throughout visits...there was an analog clock above my head, so I know it wasn't to check the time and a time check would have been a simple glance & completely understandable. When a person already feels worthless, lost, and like no one cares, it just unbelievable when you realize you've become 2nd rate to technology. I understand there are other patients and your own family, but during sessions it should be 100% focus. I truly hope you have changed and are giving patients your full attention now, but I have been holding this in for years & I needed to get it out for my own peace. ❤️
Amy Riesland was therapist to our trauma kids for many Years. She gave great advice for 2 attachment issued Kids , She used the latest programs to get them Help ! Great advice to his Parents! We have been involved / her for their entire Childhoods. EMDR there very helpful! Many special needs children will need continued therapy all their lives.They rely on their health team for safety.
