Kaiser Permanente Behavioral Health Services - Ala Moana

I wish I could give zero stars. These people have been no help. We have been waiting almost 8 weeks for a referral to a drug treatment program for my husband. No one is actually doing anything to help us, or even effectively and truthfully communicating with us. The drug counselor said “she felt attacked” when we expressed how upset we were, having to wait this long for her to do her job and get him help. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Been off of work for over a month now, waited two weeks to see a primary care physician, needed a referral from primary care to behavioral health, waited two weeks for that appointment, which was also canceled less than an hour before and rescheduled. Now been waiting over a week for yet another referral to the treatment facility. At this point, we are going to have to pay for out of pocket, because Kaiser can’t seem to help addicts in a timely manner. Who makes a drug addict wait that long to receive care? Thank you Kaiser Behavioral Health for putting us in debt over $30,000.

Crazy angry man extremely disrespectful. Gave me anexiety and dismissed me within a min He has major issues stay away from him if you care abt your mental health he is abusive !

Wait times are forever. Care is of modest quality at best. No in-person appointments from what I was told which brings down the quality even further. At least they offer referrals for providers outside of KP, but most of them are busy and not accepting new patients. Edit: also add to the fact that my provider canceled my appointment because they decided to go on strike.

WOW! I just read the rest of the reviews. That is why I had to comment. I don't think the people leaving poor reviews understand how this works. (Maybe they need help lol) Let's start with; not every doctor you get is going to be a 10. I am on my 4th PCP doctor and only on #4 do I think I found the one for me. Do you know how doctors get hired and are evaluated? Do you understand the talent pool? Once you understand how business works, you will find the patient must do half the work, and that might include asking for a change in therapist as you disagree with your currents bedside manner.

I’ve been going to this practice for many years since I was a teenager. While some doctors don’t fit me personally, I’ve always found others that I work well with. They’ve always been professional and helped me understand my medications and diagnosis. I currently have been seeing my psychiatrist for almost 5 years at this point and it’s been such a great help. Mahalo for always treating me like a human being rather than a problem or insane

Worse experiences ever!!! Doctors only care about themselves and don’t even let us patients speak. They only wish to take your medicines away and they don’t even know you. 1st appointment and bam take away your medicine. That is all they want to do. Discrimination at its finest here also with no explanation. This IBH needs to be thoroughly investigated!!! I will never go back here until Lee is out and someone that actually cares about their patients is and!!! Here if you suffer from mental health you are screwed. Doctors need to lose their egos and listen to their patients. I could go on and on but for what? Nothing changes. My wife took out a huge and I mean thousands of dollars to get me the right treatment. Now I maybe paying out of pocket for appointments and medication just to keep me alive and happy with my mental health. I will never ever recommend Kaisers behavior health to anyone!!!
