No resources for adults. If your looking for more resources as an adult I would recommend you contact Chattanooga autism center. Chattanooga has in general better services for autism then knoxville.

Doesn't accept UnitedHealth Care or any form of TN care, they did send me list of providers that accept my insurance, but the list is inaccurate, useless, and outdated.

My child has been doing ABA therapy for over 12 years. We have been with Knoxville Center for Autism since they opened. We have found the staff to be friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with my child and me. They take the time to explain my child's program and how to carry over skills at home. My child's doctors have been amazed at the progress he has made over the years. I am sure he would not be where he is today without Knoxville Center for Autism.

Edit again** I did not “feel” like this happened to my son! I KNOW it did. I was there and watched it!! Still very rude employees and trying to make it seem that people are lying when we aren’t!! I’m not going to be bullied into deleting my truth. Worst experience! I took my son for an evaluation and during it I felt scared for my son and just wanted to take him away from the place. When I went to the front to get him they told me he wasn’t done yet. I said I didn’t care and I wanted my child. Again they said the evaluation wasn’t over and I could wait. I almost called the police, but they let him out a minute or two after. I had never seen my child act like that before. He was hitting the therapist, hitting his head on the window and floor, screaming for me, etc. I was told I needed to push him to see how far he would go. He was a little over three at the time and you think a child hitting his head on a window and floor trying to escape is ok and you have to push harder?! No way! I would never recommend this place to anyone. If that’s how they do with people watch I wonder what they do while people aren’t. This was a few years ago. I hope it’s a lot better now. If it’s the same (and by word of mother through other parents with special needs, it is) then please find a place where you child will comfortable. If I could this would be a 0 star review! **Edit: No, I will not take my review down! I don’t care how many times you call. This is the truth and it will stay. I have stayed quite for a long time, but what happened to my son should have never happened. You should not be calling people and try to get them to take down their reviews. It’s not ok to treat people, especially children they way you have and apparently continue to do so. Now that’s my truth is out there you want to talk about it, but when this happened it was”just part of it”. Keeping a child away from a parent when said parent asked for the child is not “just part of it”. Letting a child hit their head on a window and concrete floor when the child never did anything like that before is not “just part of it”.

My son has been patient of this Center since almost 3 years ago; He’ve had a lot of development; Every day more connected to the world and showing more interaction. We’re very fortunate to have found Them. Thanks to the entire staff, They’re the best.
