I hate leaps and beyond, horrible place. We went through so many techs trying to find a decent one. Tech brenda kneed my son in the back when pushing him on a swing and never apologized. Nolan sat on my couch watching tv with his ear buds in. While another tech was working with two of my children, they ended up making him into a supervisor. The techs constantly left writing utensils down, and my children colored on the wall. One tech went absolutely crazy. She sat swinging in my chair talking about how she was quitting and that the owner was hard to work with. After she left my home she went to the clinic and locked herself and a child in a room. They had to break into the room and escort her off the premises. The last tech sat around playing with the binder for 2 hours and kept telling my child im almost done then we can play. She only shut the binder when she had to have a zoom meeting with the supervisor. If they have something of yours in the binder they take it and you lose it forever! You have to give a 36 hour notice to cancel or they charge you. But they cancel with short or no notice. Multiple times I had canceled well in advance and techs still came to my house because no one told them I canceled. I started telling the techs I was canceling. One poor tech had an argument with scheduling because she knew I was canceling the office knew I was canceling but they forgot and still scheduled her to be here. I don't recommend this place to anyone.
Wish there was an option for 0 stars. This place was terrible. The owner is worthless, and absolutely took my child as a client because we had good insurance and wanted the money not because she could actually help us. The staff turned over is insane. We were there a very short amount of time and had 3 different BCBA’s and 4 different techs. They would change our child’s ABA schedule last minute or cancel our tech without even letting us know. The office staff was terrible to deal with and didn’t know how to do their jobs. The time we used leaps and beyond for services was a waste and so was the amount of money we paid.
We have seen tremendous progress in my 7 year old and in just a matter of months! Major decrease in elopement and adverse behaviors! Never have had any issues going into clinic and love all the staff we have worked with thus far! There has been a bit of staff movement but transitions have always gone super smooth.
One of the worst places I’ve ever taken my son. He would come home with scratches and bruises on his arms and when my mother went in to pick him up for therapy after Covid he freaked out and went into the back office and every single person there was glaring at my son. They don’t enjoy what they do and they don’t treat these special needs children nice whatsoever. They can’t keep therapists for very long and it’s incredibly unsafe to send your child here.
My son received in home services for a few years from Leaps. They had frequent staff change over- I believe we had 8-10 techs and 3 different BCBAs during this time. I had one tech who would come and complain to me about my son’s ’lack of focus’ and didn’t know how to help him. His job as a tech was to work through these challenges. Had another tech who was aggressive with my son and I had to redirect the staff member. This same staff also thought tickle play was appropriate for my 12 year old, and he also decided to come into my home when I was not home ( I had let them know ahead of time I wasn’t going to be home) they still entered my home. Upon arriving home, I confronted the tech who got angry and threw the binder on the ground, yelled at me, and refused to leave until I started calling leaps. The owner essential did nothing and kept this employee employed (he has also left a five star review for this company). This tech knew my son was home alone and decided to enter my home with a vulnerable child. A few month later, we were paired with an employee who was very experienced (they left a two star review for this business) and when I had my last child, they needed to stay in the NICU. We took a week off of ABA services and we were notified via text that we were released from services. No warning. I’m not sure how they are still in business with the frequent change of staff, lack of communication, lack of consistency, etc. I would not recommend anyone with a child with autism to use their services.
