The staff are nice, the waiting room is nice, but I wouldn't bring a girl here for an evaluation. It would seem as though they have some more reading to do on the differences in presentation between autistic girls and autistic boys.

We've been coming here for years! It's a great place to children to decompress and talk out issues. Parents are always welcomed to come with their children. Everyone there is phenomenal!

I have been taking my son to this group of providers for over 10 years since his diagnosis at age 3. The services and providers are wonderful. They have been true guides to us and helped us to obtain the services that we’ve needed every step of the way! I recommend this center every chance I get. We have used their feeding clinic and nutritionist services, and behavioral interventions for families program.we have semiannual visits and have been pointed in the right direction for PT specific to toewalking and community support organizations and groups.

This place is a joke. We had to fight just to get scheduled for an evaluation. My son's eval came back inconsistent and only focused on the things his school has concern about... which resulted in a diagnosis I do not agree with. A lot of our concerns went unaddressed, and very few are briefly mentioned in the report. We were flat out told the woman who did his eval didn't want to give my son the STIGMA of AUTISM. Wait. What? Isn't it your JOB to help the kids who come to you?! Yes, my son is highly verbal, his vocabulary is astounding and he isn't struggling academically. HOWEVER. He meets 98% of the criteria for HFA. He has all the socio-behavioral quirks that come with Asperger syndrome. The sensory and emotional quirks. To say I'm dissatisfied is an understatement. I've made his pediatrician roll her eyes A LOT in my lifetime, but to see her do it as we read the results of the eval and discussed why he wasn't taken in for his ADHD was absolutely disgusting. We are seeking another opinion. I know options are limited for Autism Evals are limited to either RGH (I think) or Strong. If you have the means though, Buffalo Children's and Upstate are both worth checking out too. No child deserves to suffer because a grown adult doesn't want to give them the STIGMA of something.

We spent maybe 30 minutes with a nurse practitioner. We were told even though she has many markers for autism they will not give her a full evaluation because she is home schooled. Very frustrating to find help in this area for your child.
