They are for their own well-being and pay check, not for clients. Including Erica.

I very much do not recommend Sophia Whims. I had one appointment with her which was the “diagnostic” part I guess. She was extremely unprofessional, would interrupt me a lot, she got visibly frustrated when I wasn’t giving her the information she wanted, while also saying she felt like she couldn’t continue with the formal questions she had because I was getting too emotional. The good intentions are there I believe, but it doesn’t seem like she knew how to handle someone with high emotions, even if it is just crying. I never in my life had a worse therapy experience. I left the appointment feeling awful. Those only reason I’m noticing one star is because the receptionist I talked to afterward was exceedingly kind and compassionate.

I called to set up an appointment and the person on the phone sounded like they did not want to talk to me. I asked when the earliest appointment would be and she responded with a date in November. I was hoping to get testing before then so I asked what the availability of other locations are and she said it was the same exact date which seems odd. I was also confused as to why I needed three appointments so I asked for her to explain what the appointments were for especially the first appointment and she was short and rude with me as though she was irritated I had questions. As a clinic that works in mental health they should be friendly and kind to people not making them feel worse especially towards someone inquiring about their services.

In all my life I never had a dr cut me off when I am talking me when I was talking about my own experience and say I’m the dr I have a degree like somehow that gives the right to put my opinion to the side instantly ,and putting an opinion on something when I was explaining my side and point of view and that it’s their job to simplify it so it doesn’t matter when i know it matters because it’s not what it seems especially in mental healthcare, never felt so disrespected in my life by a dr and right or wrong I don’t think saying u have the degree yk better to cut ur patient off is a good thing especially when they are explaining something they think the Dr miss understood i understand it’s not therapy but if u can’t hear the full story of what happened maybe don’t base an opinion on it I feel like context matters and idk all I felt like at the end that basically it’s all because of depression that I got upset with her comment and I am having issues with communication and ppl not understanding or listening to me when I’m clearly trying to say I feel disrespect and well not heard, me personally I didn’t enjoy my experience but that’s just my experience.(1 star cuz the place was clean) I don’t recommend ERICA VANCE didn’t feel like she really cared.
