My therapist is great but Lifestance as a whole is a terrible business. During the first vacation I took in YEARS they called me up and demanded payment. The VA pays for my care and they dropped the ball, yet I ended up having to deal with their shark of a payment department? Trust me, DO NOT GET CARE HERE. They don’t care about their patients.

I have been in therapy on and off for years. Never consistently cause I struggle with routines 😂. I went to a therapist and before walking out I was told I should really think about stand up comedy. I laughed and said so I should save my money and hit the stage. To the therapist’s defense I cope through humor so I understand why she said that, however i go to therapy to get healthy ways to navigate my life. She was amazing but she is no longer here in town. I went to Jennifer for the 1st time today and the rawness and honest feedback is what I needed. She looked past the humor to get me to really open up. She understood my rambling and humor being my cope to life but must of felt it’s also my safety net to avoid really opening up. She took the time and genuinely cared to listen to what I wasn’t saying which lead to her asking the right questions to get to know me on a deeper level to get to the core of things. So yes based off the 1st impression I give her 10/10 I highly recommend.
To be clear. I did not recieve any services from Lifestance or Dr Aaron Jacklin. My rating is a result of a very poor first impression and discouraging circumstances after booking my first appointment. Here is an overview of what occured: I spent 45 minutes to compete the following... - create a patient profile on the portal - review therapist profiles to align myself appropriately with a counselor who I felt could support my journey. - completed intake documents/assesments and submit personal information including images of my insurance cards - made certiain my insurance was accepted by the therapist I selected. I submitted this all on Ocotber 20th and once complete I received a confirmation email for my appointment scheduled in the first week of November. Ten days later (10/30) I received a call stating that my appointment was cancelled and I had to select a different provider. This was unfortunate for me because I took a very thoughtful approach to selecting the therapist, so I decided that instead of just jumping to another guy, I'd inquire as to why I had to switch providers. I reached out on the phone and after mulitple transfers with minimal insight (not a problem but worth mentioning), I was advised that my appointment was cancelled because there was no longer availability for initial appointments with Dr Jacklin (only follow ups). I'm not sure what happend within those ten days. I dont know what I dont know. However, it was dissapoointing to make the commitment I made and spend the time I spent to align myself with an office and therapist that seemed like it would have worked well when considering where I work, where I live, time and distance to travel, having a preference for in office visits, eligble insurance etc. It was dissappointing to say the least. I felt strongly enough about the experience to share it in a review and state publicly that I wont seek support through lifestance. I think it's also worth mentioning that I did make an attempt to schedule with a Kenosha counselor through Lifestance a couple months back, and she cancelled my first appointment on the day of. This was my experience. It doesnt mean it will be yours, but mine sucked. I was looking forward to what was in store. Casey Cousin Racine Resident
