The school itself is traumatizing

Wonderful staff and program! They have helped my granddaughter tremendously!

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU CONSIDER THIS PLACE! 🔴 Everything was great. Until now. Little did I know how terrible and unforgivable staff were. And if I ever have a child, they are NEVER stepping a foot on these grounds. LifeWorks (NW - Tigard) claims to be a safe environment for everybody put into this program. Let’s refrain from lying, LifeWorks! I was removed from the program out of my control, but honestly for the better. All the cons: You can’t have REAL friends. They encourage you to make friends in this program when you cannot even have their socials, address, or even phone number? They state you cannot have outside contact at all or there will be consequences. And for what? They say to prevent drama and illegal activity. WHAT LOL? Can’t get any worse right? Wrong. The things you talk about are kept to a limit. Christ, you can’t even talk about a children’s horror game Five Nights are Freddy’s 💀. This place is a whole joke. You cannot talk about anything marked as “triggering” when NOBODY is triggered by anything anyone says. And on top of this? Staff talk about such topics to clients ALL the time. I’ve only seen 3 staff members remind clients they cannot hold such conversations with the topics. And that leads to another con! Staff are hypocrites. They tell you what you can and cannot do, when they do the same themselves. The staff team are a bunch of trolls at this point. They are all a team that support each other just for the sake of their own friendships. When a staff is wrong, another staff will NOT correct their behavior. Do better! Last but not least, my case. I was kicked out (basically) after an incident occurred. DHS was called to have a talk with me at the school, telling me I had told staff my father figure R*PED ME? When I NEVER made such allegation or even brought the topic up. Also, another staff asked me if I was r*ped by him NEXT TO MY “FRIEND”?? WHAT? Why would you ask that infront of their friend?! There are so many more things I could talk about but this review has to come to an end. Don’t go here if you don’t want your life to become a mess for you and your family. I suggest Creekside, Pacific, or anywhere else other than this hell. Stay safe everyone 🎀 - Tori

Waited 2 months just to get an appointment with a counselor when I told them I needed a psychiatrist which they informed me only a counselor could determine if you needed one. I missed my appointment by 5 minutes, tried to call back to reschedule and was told by the automated system to press 0 for the operator, did so and was hung up on by said automated system... BIGGEST WASTE OF TIME! I will be seeking treatment some place else. This place needs to get their act together if they actually want to help people, they are just adding to the problem.

My son was at this school for one month and honestly they have not done anything to help him in any way except for shorten his time there each day. To add insult to injury they kicked my 6 year old out of the school without informing me that he couldn’t come back. That is very unprofessional and not called for. For them to be mental health professionals they only left bruises on my baby from holding him down and also he carme home limping one day due them hurting him. Safe to say they only made our situation worse . I wouldn’t recommend this program to anyone.

My daughter sees Gail. Gail is really good at what she does. She's a great listener and offers solid advice. My daughter has been a lot more up beat and happy since she's been in therapy. The office is nice, clean, and comfortable. They offer snacks and drinks. There are toys and books in the waiting area and I'm assume in each private room. I couldn't ask for a better place/person for my daughter to go to/talk to. If you read this Gail: You're awesome and thank you for everything!

It took quite a while to get my daughter in here, but once in I'm glad we did. Love the staff, and our counselor is amazing! I also like the doctor on staff there, he is very respectful of the parents right to choose what pharmaceutical route if any to take with our child.
