We had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Rebecca from the Portage office. She was able to get a few surrounding offices involved and with her help we were able to feed families throughout NWI. When families thanked us we often told us who they coukd reach out to thank. Many families had autistic children or children not yet diagnosed and they said they have been looking for a sign of which center they should turn too to seek more help. They were in tears saying they had been on the fence on starting therapy. Many kids may now get early intervention, because of the community involvement your Portage office initiated to make sure their community had acess to a Christmas meal this year! Thank you and everyone who helped. We couldn't have done it without you!

We absolutely love the lighthouse! My son loves his therapist. He has made special bonds with them! Princess, Eddie, Cassandra, and Q are truly amazing

If I could give a negative star I would! Please, DO NOT …..I repeat….DO NOT, send your child here if you value their safety! This is a TERRIBLE autism center! If you have a toddler definitely DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! Their play equipment is not safe! The proper padding and structural set up is NOT SAFE! I am working with several organizations to help to ensure no one else’s child is harmed & mistreated under the care of Light House! Please take this advice from a traumatized parent of a previous Light House learner!! I will be praying for the safety of the current learners at Light House! I hope this review saves your child from going to the ER with a head injury due to their negligence!!!!!!!!!!!

The staff that worked with my Son was great. The administrative personnel are not truthful hopefully other parents and children have a better experience.

When my daughter was diagnosed with autism, I had no idea what to do to help her. Finding Light house was literally a Godsend. The people there loved her and worked with her patiently. She loved them and went from non-verbal to can know talk most of the time. Although she misses this place, they will always have a special place in our hearts.

Absolutely a must for a child’s first journey with autism, my child totally benefited from his experience from start to beginning, wonderful staff, like another family!

I never had my child in daycare so trusting him with strangers made me nervous at first. I’m extremely grateful for his kind and compassionate team. He has made incredible progress with speech and socialization since starting. I love that they have a child lead program that focuses on the things my son loves. The parent meetings are helpful. Getting to see videos of my child during activities and graphs of his progress are nice visuals. When one way of doing things isn’t working for my child they change their approach instead of trying to change my child. When talking about my child I can see the excitement the staff have over working with him and watching his progress. I have had my son miss days for illness and doctors appointments. I personally haven’t had issues. A make up day on a Saturday was even offered. They also had trained staff that offered to help administer his medication/ nebulizer/ inhaler. I understand the 90% attendance requirement as consistency Is important and many centers have wait lists.we actually had been on a wait list for 6 months before finding lighthouse and I like the people/facility at lighthouse better. I’ve also never had any experiences with rude staff members. If anything I feel truly blessed to be getting support on the emotional journey it’s been since finding out my child has level 3 autism.
