I’ve been coming here since it opened here in Topeka! I’ll keep this short. I started as a kid who had separation anxiety from my dog and my mom, I was homeschooled, and had panic attacks like once a week. Now I can leave my dog and my mom, 2 years in public school, and in the last 2 years I’d say I’ve had less than 8 panic attacks (for 2 years that’s awesome). I have definitely gotten more out of this than I thought I would ever get. 10/10 would recommend. This place has given me a life.

Only wants to provide IOP with individual therapy. Made me get 2 assessments for intake and left me without answers or follow up services. They just dropped me. Nothing more. Do not recommend.

Questionable charges, purposely leaves out prices when talking to you. Put me in a situation where I was forced to answer a crisis call, my options were answer the crisis call and pay around almost 300$ for it later on or get put into a mental hospital or have the police show up or something. it was annoying. In my opinion a crisis call shouldn't be that expensive or even cost anything. You took your time of day to see if i was ok but want to charge me for that? no thank you. Also a lot of prices kept on changing as well, and Id get bigger estimates as time went on. make it make sense. It saddens me I really loved this place but then ended up feeling cheated out of my own money.

the adult iop program changed my life! I was nervous at first as there weren’t many reviews but i’m forever grateful for the lilac center! everyone i’ve met, especially the two iop program teachers, genuinely care. they will never know how much they’ve changed my life. i’m forever grateful for them and their 6 week iop program.

My experience has been wonderful. I have been happy with IOP, skills group, and individual therapy.

I had a very disappointing experience with this DBT therapy office. My first appointment was a phone call where they were 20 minutes late and didn't ask any of the normal intake questions. Instead, they just rescheduled me with someone else for the following week. At my second appointment, they asked me the usual questions and then presented a group therapy option. Initially, I was interested, but after thinking it over, I realized I wanted individual therapy. When I expressed this, they really pushed the group class on me, insisting that therapy wouldn't be effective without it. By the third week, during my second meeting with my therapist, the entire session was the therapist talking about DBT and the group class expectations. It felt like they were more interested in selling the class than providing the individual therapy I needed. I emailed the therapist to cancel my appointment and now have a random $80 charge from them. No one is answering their phone to address this issue. I wish I had read reviews from their Kansas City locations beforehand. BEWARE and STAY AWAY! Find somewhere that genuinely wants to help you rather than run up your insurance and make questionable charges on your credit card.

Went to the 6 week program and enjoyed it. Went back for individual therapy. Therapist consistently failed to show up on time, would end every session early. Referred to me as a “dog.” When asking the director to possibly switch to a different therapist. I was told to use my “DBT skills” to ask a grown man to show up on time. I don’t understand why a grown woman has to ask her own therapist to do their job correctly. Inappropriate by all means, and extremely manipulative. Made me feel guilty for expressing a very VALID problem that I had. I do NOT recommend this place. They are money baiters and will not provide help when needed.
