Lionheart is a special program. I didn't know what I was walking into when I signed up, but I knew I needed help. From the moment I walked in the door, the Lionheart team made me feel welcome and safe. I want to thank every person in that building for what they've done for me, they changed my life. Huge shoutouts to Nicole H, Emily, Dave, and every other person working at Lionheart! Nicole helped to get me set up with paid leave, made sure I had insurance and a doctor, and generally helped me to feel secure in taking time for myself. Dave works overtime to make sure we walk into the building and immediately feel welcomed and safe. And Emily, my therapist, there aren't enough words for how much she helped me. Each day, every session, she worked with me to make progress and help me overcome the challenges in front of me. Checked on me when anything seemed off. Emily really cares, and it shows.
