Didn’t try speech, but feeding therapy is honestly a ripoff. $80 for a 10-minute session. I thought there would be some kind of specialized approach, but all they did was distract him with toys and books — which is literally the number one thing you’re not supposed to do when teaching a child to eat. I can distract him with toys myself at home; that’s not therapy. The first session the therapist didn’t even know that I came for feeding, not speech, which already looked extremely unprofessional. So that session ended up being 8 minutes, and when I told her we were there for feeding therapy, she just tried to feed him while waving toys for another 5 minutes. She was cold and indifferent and rushed everything, I don’t know how any baby can understand anything when a therapist is not explaining but just saying words super fast without even looking at a child. The next session was 10 minutes — we basically sat down and then it was already time to go. I have no idea what kind of “therapy” is supposed to help a child learn to eat by distracting them with toys and books for a few minutes. And honestly, is that even a real therapeutic method? No reputable feeding therapy teaches a child to eat through distraction. Real feeding therapy is supposed to build oral-motor skills, safe swallowing habits, sensory tolerance, proper posture, and positive mealtime behavior — not just tricking the child into taking bites while staring at a toy. That’s not a long-term skill; it’s avoidance of the real issue. The staff is pretty friendly, I liked the second therapist better she was very warm to a child, the first one extremely cold and indifferent. And finally, I expected the session to be longer. My child only starts getting comfortable and maybe showing interest in food right when the session ends. Then I have to take him away from the toys immediately, which just feels traumatic and pointless. How is this supposed to help him learn anything?

I'm very disappointed in how they treat their clients. Feel like they want to fight or talk down to you more then help. A family member of mine has been going there for years. It used to be alot better. The staff there is just horrible. It's a shame. They loved their speech therapist. We felt like we were forced to look eslewere. Update from comment: I feel like I'm getting mocked at by leaving a bad review. How professional.

We've been going here for over four years now, and have had the most amazing experiences with the therapists. They listen to feedback and implement it in their sessions. My son has been making great strides with eating different foods here with Ms. Amanda who's incredible with him. My daughter has been learning so much from Ms. Taylor, and they both have benefited even when meeting with other therapists. Fortunate to have found this place and wonderful connections they've made with my children!

Please avoid Islip location if you have special need child who has trouble waiting for session. The therapist is always 5-8min late for teletherapy for a 20 min session doesn’t even try to make up the late/missed time unless you ask her to do so. The front desk receptionist (Melissa) who works on Saturday is the mean as well with an attitude. They don’t have supervisor to speak either. We ended up having to withdraw our child from this location. Please stay away from this branch. We have been to many other branch of LI speech but none has been like this.

Speech staff is amazing. Billing department sucks. I have never delt with a more incompetent billing department. It's so sad because my children really benefit from the services but I cannot continue going here when I get incorrect bills every month. Everytime I call I have a different balance. Last week was $190 (from 18 months ago), they were gonna look into it had me email proof that I paid my 2021 deductible, today I called to follow up and I have a $40 balance from a cancelled appointment 2 months ago. I have gone several times since then and was never made aware of this fee.

My daughter has been going here for months now and she loves it. She has had such a great experience with all the speech therapist's. The therapist's have discussed with me her progress and make recommendations if needed. Front staff have been soo helpful with making and or rescheduling appts. Its amazing that if we have a busy week there is an option for zoom session as well. I would absolutely recommend this center....you will not be disappointed. : )

It is the most efficient, professional, and cleanest facilities I have ever visited. From the warm receptionist who greets us with a smile to the extremely kind and thorough therapists, every session is a joy. My son loves going to speech and works hard on his exercises because he is being encouraged in a positive and caring way by his therapists.
