Louisville Expressive Therapies

The therapists at Louisville Expressive Therapies are amazing, creative, and compassionate healers. Our whole family has really benefitted from working with these therapists, in different modalities, but especially combining music (including drumming, song-writing, keyboards, and singing) with somatic techniques (breathing, stretching, reiki, sound bath). We have each grown in different ways; I have really felt improvement in my anxiety, symptoms, and feel more empowered. I have seen this shift in each of my teens as well, as we navigate some big life changes. My very socially anxious teen now plays and sings in front of audiences at open mics. My other teen is better able to connect his emotions to his words in a much deeper way, that allows them to flow. Expressive techniques, combined with "talk therapy" has made such a difference for us and our overall well-being.

I can’t say anything but good things about this place. Its difficult to find the words to explain how you meet a stranger for the purpose of talking about things you’ve been struggling to deal with for no telling how long and then the impact they have on your life for the better. Truly a place where I’ve always felt validated, and seen, and safe. If you’re considering speaking with someone, you absolutely cannot go wrong with LET, and it’s something that I can assure, you would never regret doing.

Would recommend LET to anyone! It can be so difficult to find a therapist, but I have felt safe and supported from the minute I first walked into the office months ago. Theresa has helped me walk through one of the hardest times in my life, and has gone above and beyond to provide support. Incorporating art into personal therapy has been an incredible experience (and this is coming from someone who can barely draw a stick figure!)

I love everything about this place. Emily is a fantastic therapist. I love that there are multiple modalities offered. I highly recommend!
